Two hours later Kourtney and Sebastián came back downstairs and saw that everyone was heading inside the tent where the rehearsal dinner is being kept.
"Kourtney you can sit between me and Sandra" Pam says immediately when she saw her daughter enter the tent holding some guys hand.
Kourtney immediately rolled her eyes know this was just her mom style, "Mom this is my boyfriend Sebastián, he's Sabrina's cousin" Kourtney introduced them.
"It's nice to finally meet you Mrs. Taylor" Sebastián says holding out his hand.
"Hmm, they have to hook their claws into both my kids" she muttered but they heard her.
Pam ignored Sebastián's hand and walked away, "Am sorry babe" Kourtney told him and they went and took a seat away from Pam.
A few moments later, "hey everybody, if I could get your attention" Mr. Watson says standing up.
"I want to take a moment to welcome you all to our home to thank you for sharing this special occasion with us. Good friends and family, we appreciate how hard to come here with not much notice for that you can thank Sabrina" Mr. Watson says which caused everyone to laugh.
"Baby girl, she is impulsive and spontaneous, she's ah, good mind and huge heart and I love her" Mr. Watson says getting teary eyes.
"Thank you dad" Sabrina says to him, "and now Jason's uncle Willie-Earl will be giving the blessing" Mr. Watson says taking a seat.
Willie-Earl started to get up but Pam pulled him down and stand up, "What's happening Pam?" He asked confused as was everyone else.
She only held their hands and everyone followed as she took over the blessing.
"Heavenly father, dear lord thank you for these gifts and thank you for being merciful even to those who don't appreciate your generosity. Dear lord, their sitting in their expensive cars and they wear their fancy clothes and they think that they alone are responsible for what they have but lord we know the truth don't we" Pam says with her eyes closed.
"This is not a blessing" Kourtney muttered to Jason, "I know, ignore it" he muttered back thinking if he keeps his eyes closed his mother would disappear.
"But we know that the mink, the mink shall inherent the earth, thank you Jesus, hallelujah, amen" Pam says taking a seat as everyone began to eat.
"What was that?" Sabrina asked Jason in disbelief, "your father said I could give the blessing" Pam answered her.
"If that was a blessing then you going to hell" Willie-Earl told her.
"That was completely inappropriate" Sabrina told Pam, "Am inappropriate? We're my people? We're my family?" Pam asked her annoyed.
"Aren't we all going to be family after tomorrow?" Sabrina asked making her point.
"That's right, after tomorrow, it's on" Willie-Earl says agreeing with Sabrina.
"We're already all one big happy family, right?" Jason says, "yes, and this food is hitting the spot, am gonna have to work it off tomorrow with the electric slide" Sandra says dancing in her seat.
"I know which spot I want to be hitting" Sebastián says to Kourtney smirking which caused her to blush.
"Sebastián" Claudine says sternly as her overheard what Sebastián said and thought it was inappropriate, so he drop his smirk.
"Actually, Jason and I told the DJ not to encourage the slide so you don't have to look forward to that" Sabrina to Sandra.
"Y'all don't do the electric slide? So what do y'all do the river dance or something?" Willie-Earl questioned curiously.
"No Willie-Earl it's just that it's so cliche you know, they do it at every black wedding" Sabrina explains.
"Well it figures that your kind would think that way" Pam spike up, "mom" Jason says to stop her.
"Your kind? Am sorry, I didn't know that the electric slide was a cultural necessity" Claudine says laughing.
"Well the electric slide at a black wedding is just like jumping the broom, your gonna jump the broom" Pam says looking at Jason.
"No" Sabrina told her, "what?" Pam questioned angrily, "namaste remember, anger management, calm down" Sandra told her immediately.
"Jason enough is enough you gotta jump the broom" Pam told him upset.
"Mrs. Taylor, Jason and I decided that we wanted everything to be simple, elegant, OW!" Sabrina says but yelp in the end because Jason kicked her.
"Would a Jewish couple get married without breaking the glass" Pam says trying to make a point.
"We're not Jewish" Claudine community, "I never said you were Jewish. The slaves weren't allow to get married, jumping the broom was the only way to show their union. We have done that in this family for years, it's a tradition and has gone on for generations. And as you say it is a cultural necessity" Pam told them beyond upset.
"Look Harriet Tubman, Kunta Kinte isn't sitting at this table and this is a black history moment Pam" Willie-Earl told her.
"But why should they have to jump over a broom? my family weren't slaves" Claudine told her.
"You sure about that?" Pam questioned rolling her eyes, "yeah, as a matter of fact they owned slaves" Claudine says without a care in the world.
"Ooooh" everyone at the table says, "Mom, don't say that" Sabrina told her.
"And your proud of that" Pam says glaring at her, "Am not proud or ashamed, it's a immutable fact"
Claudine told her drinking her wine. "You know something, your crazier than I thought you were, here is another fact honey, you need to get off you high horse and come on down back to earth cause you black, okay you black" Pam told her.
"You don't come into my house am tell me what am supposed to do" Claudine told her before speaking French and Sabrina replied back to her in French.
"Oh I know they not trying to wav sa swa us" Sandra says amused.
"I don't care when they saying in French I know she talking bout me" Pam says about to get up but Willie-Earl pulled her back.
"Mrs. Taylor it's just that OW! Did you just jick me under the table twice?" Sabrina questioned Jason in disbelief.
"Not in a row babe just relax" Jason told her sweetly.
"Everybody just calm down, calm down, calm down. Being that it is important to Jason's family to jump the broom would it be so difficult to actually consider jumping the broom?" Mr. Watson questioned looking at Sabrina and Jason.
Claudine glared at him and spoke to him in French, "she said she is going to hit you in the head with a computer, I heard that" Willie-Earl told Pam as Geneva came out am performed for Jason and Sabrina.
