Amelia Nash - 25
Amelia Nash had always been a strong, independent woman, much like her father, Bobby. At 25, she had recently settled into her career at the 118, determined to make her mark as a firefighter. But for the past few weeks, she hadn't been feeling like herself. She was tired all the time, and the nausea was getting harder to ignore.
One evening, after another exhausting day at the station, Amelia decided it was time to face her growing suspicion. She stopped by a pharmacy on her way home and bought a pregnancy test. Her heart pounded as she made her way back to her apartment, the small box feeling heavy in her bag.
Once home, she locked herself in the bathroom, her hands shaking as she opened the box and followed the instructions. She sat on the edge of the bathtub, waiting for the result, her mind racing.
When the timer went off, she picked up the test, her breath catching in her throat. Two lines. Positive. She was pregnant.
Amelia sank to the floor, her thoughts a chaotic jumble. How was she going to tell her dad? How would this affect her career at the firehouse? And what about Eddie, the father of her child? The initial shock gave way to a flood of emotions – fear, uncertainty, and a surprising sense of joy. She placed a hand on her stomach, tears welling up in her eyes.

The next few days were a blur for Amelia. She knew she needed to tell her father, but she struggled to find the right moment. Bobby had always been her rock, but this was different. This was a life-changing revelation.
One evening, as the sun began to set, casting a warm golden glow over their home, Amelia knew she couldn't wait any longer. She found Bobby in the living room, reading a book. Summoning all her courage, she took a deep breath and sat down next to him.
"Dad, I need to talk to you about something important," she said, her voice trembling slightly.
Bobby put down his book and turned to face her, concern etched across his face. "What is it, sweetheart? You know you can tell me anything."
Amelia looked down at her hands, nervously twisting a ring on her finger. "I'm... I'm pregnant."
For a moment, there was silence. Bobby's mind raced as he processed her words. A whirlwind of emotions surged through him – surprise, concern, and a deep, unconditional love for his daughter.
He reached out and gently lifted her chin so she was looking into his eyes. "Amelia, that's wonderful."
Tears welled up in Amelia's eyes, and she nodded. "I was so scared, Dad. I didn't know how you'd react."
Bobby pulled her into a tight embrace, holding her close. "You're my daughter, Amelia. I love you, and nothing will ever change that. We're going to get through this together."

Eddie Diaz, Amelia's boyfriend and fellow firefighter, had always been her confidant. They had shared many moments, both on and off duty, but this was the most significant conversation they would have.
One evening, after a shift, Amelia asked Eddie to meet her at their favorite park. She needed to tell him in a place that felt safe and familiar. They sat on a bench under the shade of a large oak tree, the sounds of children playing in the distance.
"Eddie, there's something I need to tell you," Amelia began, her voice shaking.
Eddie looked at her with concern. "What is it, Amelia? You know you can tell me anything."
She took a deep breath, her heart pounding. "I'm pregnant."
Eddie's eyes widened in surprise. "You're... pregnant?"
