Y/n Buckley - 20
Maddie Buckley was in the kitchen, preparing dinner for her family, when she heard a loud cry from upstairs. Her daughter, Y/N, had been feeling unwell for the past few days, but they both assumed it was just a stomach bug. Maddie put down the knife and wiped her hands on a dish towel before hurrying upstairs.
"Y/N, sweetheart, are you okay?" Maddie called as she reached her daughter's bedroom door.
"No, Mom, something's wrong!" Y/N's voice was strained and full of pain. The past couple of weeks she her body had felt different but she didn't pay much attention to it as she was so caught up in everything else.
Maddie rushed into the room to find Y/N doubled over on the bed, clutching her abdomen. Her face was pale and beads of sweat dotted her forehead.
"What's happening?" Maddie asked, her voice tinged with panic as she rushed over to her daughter.
"I don't know, but it hurts so bad!" Y/N cried out, tears streaming down her face.
Suddenly, a look of confusion crossed Y/N's face as she felt a warm gush of liquid. "Mom, what just happened? I think I peed myself!" she said, embarrassed and scared.
As Maddie stayed by Y/N's side, she suddenly realized something that made her blood run cold.
"Y/N, when was the last time you had your period?" she asked urgently.
Y/N's eyes widened in realization. "I don't know... I thought it was just stress from school."
Maddie felt a surge of fear and determination. She had read about cryptic pregnancies but never imagined it could happen to her daughter. She helped Y/N lie down more comfortably and tried to keep her calm.
Maddie's eyes widened. "Sweetheart, I think your water just broke. You're in labor."
Y/N's eyes grew even wider with fear. "Labor? But I didn't even know I was pregnant!"
Maddie quickly dialed 911, explaining the situation as calmly as she could, though her heart was racing. The operator assured her that an ambulance was on the way.
"Mom, it feels like I'm going to die!" Y/N screamed, the pain intensifying.
"You're going to be okay, sweetheart. I'm here with you," Maddie reassured her, trying to stay strong. "You're having a baby, Y/N. We're going to get through this."
Y/N's contractions were coming fast and strong, and Maddie knew they didn't have much time. She coached her daughter through each wave of pain, holding her hand and encouraging her to breathe.
"It's time to push, sweetheart, push! I'm right here." Maddie urged, her voice steady despite the chaos around them.
With a final, desperate push, the room was filled with the sound of a baby's cry. Maddie quickly wrapped the newborn in a clean towel, tears of relief streaming down her face.
"It's a girl," Maddie whispered, handing the tiny, squirming bundle to Y/N.
Y/N looked at her daughter, her expression a mix of shock, exhaustion, and overwhelming love. "Mom, I can't believe it... I have a baby."
"You're going to be an amazing mom," Maddie said, her voice choked with emotion. "And Ime and your dad will be here to help you every step of the way."
Y/n eyes widened, thinking about her dad reaction. "Dad's going to kill me."
Maddie laughed "No he won't, he'll just be glad both of you are okay."

The ambulance arrived shortly after, and both Y/N and the baby were taken to the hospital for evaluation. Maddie rode with them, never letting go of Y/N's hand. The doctors and nurses were efficient and kind, ensuring both mother and baby were healthy.
