"John—John, what, uh, what exactly are you seeing?" George questioned, extremely concerned.
"George, is it okay with you if I sit real quick and collect my emotions?" John asked in a faint tone.
"If you need to, then go right ahead."
John nodded, letting himself fall to the ground.
"Don't you—don't you see it? Right, y'know, over there?" John pointed out in a terrified tone.
"Give me a minute, I may be able to. My vision still needs to adjust," George discussed, rubbing his eyes. "Alright, let's see if I'm able to see this."
George squinted, suddenly noticing the object that John was looking at.
He went through the same process that had gone through.
Some sort of substance lined the area around the still unknown thing.
"John, those are limbs," George whispered.
"Yes, George, I'm aware.
George squatted down next to John, equally as fearful.
That wasn't any "substance" that they had noticed.
It was too fresh.
Too natural.
No other natural liquids were this flowing and fluid, besides water. But this wasn't water, it was much too discolored.
Not unless it was what they were thinking.
It was blood.
Not dried at all.
Still flowing.
John cupped his hands over his mouth, hyperventilating. He felt like he couldn't move at all, which startled him immensely. His body was tense and he couldn't think clearly enough. John's heart raced, the sound pounding in his ears. All that he could do was stare at the sight in horror.
Darkness crept into his vision, distorting his view.
"Yeah, uh, George, I—I think that I'm going to, well, faint," John spoke in a way that was slightly slurred. He felt overly dizzy, his head causing him great pain.
"You're going to faint?"
"Seems so."
"Well, then, are you able to walk?" George frowned.
"I can't really move much at all. I feel weak."
George immediately lifted John up onto the couch, panicking. However, the action was too late. John was already taken by unconsciousness.
