Izuku's POV

Izuku is striding past the street before Eri's selected street and he slowly slows his pace and Mirio matches his pace until they slowly crawls across the street.

His timing is impecible as the moment he crosses the street a small silver haired girl with red eyes dashes out from the alley. She hurtles as fast as she can away from the dark depths of the stalking, lumbering shadows following her every movement.

She wears a simple shift to cover he body and her arms are lined with bandages. Her feet have no covering and they are scratched, blistered and raw from her running on the rough ground.

She jumps out from the alley and latches onto Izuku's arm throwing her full body onto him before she wails, "PLEASE!!" While looking at him helplessly.

There are tears lining her eyes and Izuku has to admit that her acting skills got better after he left.

"Are - are you okay?" He asks stammering as if he was confused too.

Luckily for the two of them they were both ace actors and Eri continues her desperate act that was both real and fake. She stays huddling and Izuku quickly scoops her up into his protective embrance before shooting a glance at Mirio.

Their gazes meet and Mirio starts to say something, "Who is she?"

"It doesn't matter who she is right?" Izuku asks, "Can't you tell that this girl has been through some horrible things. It looks like human trafficking to me."

"You're right." Mirio says dazedly. "I just haven't really encountered this before."

Izuku twitches slightly in suprise and Eri presses her face deeper into his chest and he calms down. He had to stay level-headed for Eri. But the fact that Mirio a hero in training had no experience with human trafficking was shocking. What were the pros teaching their students? To fight villains that were murders? Who were trying to kill all of Japan? Did they not understand that there were different types of evil in the world?

But then again he couldn't think too highly of heroes seeing as how there were corrupt ones around like Endeavor who abused their children.

Mirio squats next to Izuku who was crouching as he held onto Eri just as tightly as Eri held onto him. "Can you tell me who you are running from? Maybe then I can help you..."

She continues to say nothing only turning her head slightly to peek at him, her eyes spilling with tears. "Please." She repeats and Mirio looks away his face tinged with pain.

"That's my daughter you have there," Chisaki's silky midnight voice says as his face appears half shadowed from the alley.

Izuku instinctively tenses and Eri squeezes her hand to reassure herself and him. Izuku's instincts were flaring telling him to run. Run again but he roots himself in place as Mirio stands up to stare down at Chisaki.

"Daughter?"

"Yes." Chisaki says his eyes narrowing to a crescent moon shape. The indicator that he was smiling, "Thank you for looking after her. May I please have her back?"

"I didn't know you had a daughter." Mirio says confused.

"Oh?" Chisaki says his voice darkening, "And you happen to know everything about me?"

Mirio changes tactic, "If she truly is your daughter why does she look so scared?"

"All children get scared and fearful of their parents sometimes," Chisaki says easily, "It happens that today was the day that Eri happened to be like that."

"No child is ever this fearful," Mirio counters, "Ever since she came dashing out of that alley where no children should ever be in, she's holding on so tightly to Aoi like she's afraid someone will drag her away."
