"What's that about?" Fatos points at my face, noticing my expression. "You're making that face. I know that face, you make it when you don't want to say what you're thinking." I take the wooden roller pin and start rolling the dough, taking out my frustration on it, causing it to become flatter than usual.

"Fine! I read Hakan's recent post and I feel like giving this man a piece of my mind," I sigh loudly and my mouth starts rambling on, now that Fatos gave me that look to keep talking. "How dare he make these horrible accusations. He went to a gossip YouTuber and told them that I've slept with him and that now I'm with Ferit because he ended our secret relationship. Ugh! The audacity of this man! How dare he think I would ever want to be with him. That I, Nazli, would want to sleep with him."

I start pounding the dough now, feeling my anger rise. Fatos shakes her head, "He is a sad man who is seeking attention. He is lost. Please don't let him trigger you."

I wipe the sweat from my forehead with the back of my hand. "It's hard not to, Fatos. People listen to him and I really want him to just shut up. I read the comments from that YouTube video and some were not so kind." I murmur the last few words after noticing my employees looking at my conversation with Fatos.

"That's just a few. Don't you see that you are so loved by this entire country?" Fatos tries to reassure me, but I stay quiet. As much as I love Fatos, she doesn't understand that I don't like anyone spreading lies about me. Especially now, knowing who my father was and the lies I was fed by him, it's hard to accept any more lies, especially from Hakan.

"Actually. Cover for me please!" I take off my apron and in my flour covered clothes and face I march out of the kitchen.

"Twigs where are you going?" Fatos walks quickly behind me.

"I'm going to face Hakan and tell him to shut up. I won't let him think that I need Ferit to fight my battles. I have endured so much in my life to deal with him." I stomp out of the restaurant and hop on my car to Hakan's home.

----***----

I forcefully knock on the door and I'm greeted by Hakan and Demet's maid. "Hello," I say, looking past her.

"Hello Ms. Nazli."

 "Where is Hakan?"

"Mr. Hakan and Ms. Demet aren't home." She responds avoiding my eyes, indicating she may be lying.

I move past her and enter the house, calling out for Hakan. I yell as I look around his pristine home. "I doubt Hakan isn't home. The jerk likes to spend his time tweeting about me." I murmur frustratedly. Then I see the maid's eyes shift to a door next to the living room so I follow her line of sight and open the door without a care in the world. Inside, I find Hakan sitting behind his desk, seemingly waiting for me.

"What the fuck do you want?"

I stand tall, pointing directly at him with a firm voice, "Stop talking about me! What is your problem, anyway? What have I ever done to you?" I unleash all my frustration. In response, he lets out a sinister chuckle, "Tell Ferit to give me back my rightful place in the company, and I'll stop making your life a living nightmare. Listen, Sweetheart, this isn't about you. You're just a pawn in my game. I intend to do whatever it takes to make Ferit give me what I want." He clenches his fist and slams it on the desk.

"You had it coming for stooping so low. I know Ferit won't back down from your stupid threats!" I yell back.

"I had it coming?!" He stands in full rage. It's evident that the man's mental state is unstable. "Ferit has always been the golden child, while the sacrifices I've made for this family are never appreciated. I'm tired of getting the short end of the stick. It's about time Ferit gets to feel what it's like to be the black sheep."
