Writing a happy chapter is a lot harder than I thought it was going to be
______
It was Midoriya's first day going back to school. He had woken up early and gotten ready as fast as he could to meet up with Aizawa to get to class. He happily waited in the main area for his teacher. He couldn't wait to go back to the school and see the other heroes again.
Unfortunately, his good mood was crushed the second his teacher walked out of his room.
"I have a meeting with the other teachers. You can't come with me" Aizawa had told him when he saw the boy waiting by the door.
Midoriya frowned, "I always go with you to your meetings, why can't I go now?" he questioned, fidgeting with the straps of his backpack.
Aizawa placed a hand on the boy's head, "You don't live with me anymore so you don't have to follow me around everywhere"
"I liked following you around" Midoriya admitted, looking at the Floor in embarrassment.
Aizawa sighed and crouched down to look directly at Midoriya, "I like having you around as well" he ruffled the boy's hair, "Unfortunately, because of the dorm system and everything that's happened these past few months, you can't come into teacher areas anymore. You'll have to get used to going to school with your classmates from now on."
Midoriya looked at the clock hanging in the living room, "school doesn't start for another three hours..."
Aizawa pressed his lips together in a tight line and nodded. Defeated, the boy sighed and slowly walked to the dorm couch. He threw himself onto the cushions and buried his head in one of the pillows refusing to look at his teacher.
He could hear Aizawa stand back up and say his goodbyes as he left the building. Midoriya groaned into the fabric before turning his head so he could breathe. Tears stung his eyes and he had to wipe them away before they could fall.
Briefly, the boy wondered how Izuku would've handled the situation and if he would've been able to convince their teacher to let him go.
He lay on that couch unmoving until he heard footsteps walk down the hall. Midoriya lifted his head to see who was approaching.
Bakugo rounded the corner making eye contact almost immediately. Midoriya gave him a nervous smile which earned a sneer from the blond. Midoriya wilted and put his head back into the pillow.
"Where's Izuku?"
Midoriya's head popped up at the question. "He's uh- I don't know" he answered.
"What the fuck. How do you not know? Isn't he in your head" Bakugo pointed at Midoriya's forehead incredulously.
Midoriya flushed in embarrassment and sat up straighter, "Well he kind of...umm" he scratched the back of his neck nervously, "he just...disappeared. Not forever though- I hope. He said- said that he's just going to sleep or something like that"
Katsuki narrowed his eyes at the boy scanning him for any hints that he was lying. When he found nothing, the blond rolled his eyes and scoffed, "useless" he muttered as he made his way to the dorm kitchen.
Midoriya tried not to let that hurt him but couldn't help the frown that formed as Bakugo disappeared around the corner.
Not long after Bakugo had left for class, more students started making their way to the common area. Midoriya joined the first group that left to go to class. That group consisted of Todoroki, Uraraka, Iida, and Tsuyu.
"I'm glad you're back" Midoriya jumped at the voice and turned to Uraraka with wide eyes.
Unaware of the look he was giving her, the girl clapped her hands together and continued talking. "I know we hadn't talked much but I was worried when you and Bakugo were taken from the camp. Then you were there at the Hisakai raid fighting Overhaul and I got excited to see you were alright!"
