When Dust opened the door, he literally felt like his pinpricks were about to leave his eye sockets. There he saw Cross cuddling with the human. ON. HER. BED.

"What's the holdup?" Error inquired as Dust came to an abrupt halt, pointing towards the open door. Upon peering in, the others were met with the same shocking sight that had left Dust speechless. There on the bed, Cross was cuddled up with the human, the door fully open, revealing the unexpected scene to everyone.

 'WHAT IN THE-!?'

Yeah, no, not happening, not on their watch.

"Aw, man, how come he gets to sleep with her?" Killer sulked, earning a ticking vein in Dust's forehead. Frustrated, Dust walked up to the seemingly sleeping unofficial couple and proceeded to bonk Cross on the head, jolting him awake.

"Ow! What the hell was that for!?" Cross shouted in pain before he was quickly silenced with a bony finger on his nonexistent lips.

The bony finger belonged to Dust, who made a shushing gesture before pointing to the still sleeping Y/n, who was currently hugging him by the waist and cuddling at his side.

Cross's face went through a spectrum of purples as he let out a series of garbled words, too flustered to form coherent sentences. He carefully extricated himself from her firm embrace, shaken by the difficulty of it. With Cross leaving the room, the rest of the skeletons followed suit, shutting the door quietly behind them and moved to a different area to discuss this unexpected development in hushed tones.

"What were you doing in her room?" Fell exclaimed, managing to keep his volume down so as not to wake Y/n. The skeleton's voice dripped with anger, his grip on the front of Cross's robes firm. "What did you do in there? What did you two do while we were asleep, you imbecile?!"

Cross struggled for words, clearly flustered. "I-I think I went in her room on accident," he managed to stutter. "I needed a drink in the middle of the night, and I must've wandered into her room without realizing," he rambled, attempting to justify his unexpected presence in Y/n's room in the dead of night.

They were undoubtedly furious, but there was also a complicated mix of emotions swirling within their souls - a bitter and salty feeling, as if needles were stabbing through them. Cross's story did little to alleviate their growing frustration, but it was hard to suppress the pang of jealousy and envy that tugged at their souls.

But one thing ran through their minds: 'I wish I were him,' despite knowing they shouldn't, they needed to get the mission done. So they decided to take her before she wakes up so there won't be any problems that may turn up along the way... or so they thought.
