You muster up the courage to step out of the car all the while Sam makes it to your door. You stumble a bit not being able to put your full weight on your injured leg, Sam extends a hand to you- "here let me-"
"I got it" you say, ignoring his gesture.
"You really shouldn't be walking-"
"Sam, I said I got it." Your body tenses as you feel warm blood pool beneath your bandage. Sam notices and without hesitation he scoops you up into his arms, you try to protest but your aching muscles relax against his body; allowing him to carry you inside.
Dean scratches his head as he opens the door for you both, his stomach growls loudly "...anyone else starving?"
"Dean it's like... 12 am." Sam says.
"I am..." you say groggily. Sam looks down at you as you struggle to keep your eyes open, a small smile tugs at his kips before He sighs and makes his way to the kitchen.
Setting you down on the kitchen bench he heads for the first aid kit. The pain in your leg has intensified as time went on, leaving you in near agony. Your bandage is soaked and your clothes a torn mess ' these are definitely going in the trash' you think as you take in your current condition.
The abrupt sound of the first aid kit landing on the table snaps you out of trance, you focus on the various types of painkillers along with other medicine and bandages and without a hesitation you grab the nearest bottle and take 2 capsules. Dean chuckles softly as you swallow them dry "it'll get easier."
With a full stomach and fresh bandages Sam carries you back to your room. "You gonna be alright?" he says.
You rub your eyes while he sets you down on your bed. "Yeah, I'm gonna be fine..."
His brows scrunch and he steps back. "I-I'm sorry for being hard on you... I'm sure you did a good job working the case, but you put yourself in danger... You ignored your instincts and got yourself hurt."
You recall earlier events and Tears begin to well; you try your best to blink them away but your heart throbs with every beat and the crushing weight of loss and failure finally land on your shoulders. Hopeless to the crumbling of your composure tears stream down your face, you rub them away with haste but to no avail. Sam comes near and sits on the edge of your bed, raising a hand he places it on your back rubbing in small circles. Your choked sobs fill the silence as your seemingly injured heart takes over, you crash your body into his hugging him tightly, sobbing into his chest he hesitates to return the hug, but you're soon met with a warm embrace.
With one arm wrapped around your torso and one petting your head, he gently lifts you and maneuvers up the bed, allowing you to lay comfortably and as his warmth and scent surround you, creating an impenetrable barrier of comfort you fall fast asleep...
After that night with Sam everything turned up. You and Sam seemed to be closer now, though he seemed to linger , this time it was welcomed since it was Sam. He was cautious and never touchy unless necessary. He paid extra attention to you in your injured state, helping you with any minor task to ensure your safety. It made you realize that your feelings towards Theo weren't true, they were just a diversion for what you felt for Sam.
It's been a week like this and while your thigh isn't fully healed, it's good enough to walk with crutches. Supplies and food have run low, so the bunker is well in due for a restock which Sam and dean usually take care of though Sam insists on staying with you, which you aren't gonna contest.
Dean annoyedly marches up the stairs as you and Sam wave him off, he's gonna be a while since they held up shopping to go find you... the bunker door slams shut as dean makes his exit, leaving you and Sam alone for the next few hours.
