Aiah's POV

4:30 PM

"Alam kong sobrang baduy nitong pakinggan pero naniniwala ka ba na that someone out there is meant for us?." Tanong ng childhood bestfriend kong si Jeremy.

We are now on the way to my brother's wedding reception and Jeremy is driving. May mga nakasunod rin saming guests papunta run.

"Ang random Pards ah. But do you mean do I believe in soulmates?." Tanong ko.

"Y-yeah. Exactly." He said with a smile.

"Well, I think so. Bakit? In love na ba ang bestfriend ko? Haha." Siko ko rito.

SILENCE

Napatingin sya saglit sakin slightly smiling sabay sabing,

"W-we can say that."

"Well, whoever that girl is napakaswerte niya. Ang bait-bait mo kaya, maalagain, talented at gentleman. Mabaho nga lang ang paa minsan pero I'm sure she can live with that. Natiis ko nga yan ng 15 years haha." Biro ko.

"Ano ba? Okay na sana eh." Pabirong irap nito.

At ayun, tuloy na kami sa venue at andami na palang nakarating. Binati lang namin ang ibang bisita at umupo na kami ni Jeremy sa table kung saan nakaupo ang mga parents namin na busy naman sa kakachika.

And the usual, may kaonting program and speeches at finally yung pinakaantay ko yung food. Kanina ko pa kasi talaga gustong lantakan yung lechon. Iba talaga ang lechon ng Cebu.

Tahimik lang kaming kumakain nang walang ano-ano'y bigla nalang napatigil ang mga tao at napalingon dun sa bandang kakarating lang, and yes they're late tsk.

But I think what really captured people's attention is the girl with the red hair. Alright, let me rephrase that. The pretty girl with the red hair.

Well, wala naman sigurong masama to appreciate beautiful women right?

I tried to focus on the food nalang when few moments later she started singing the groom and bride's first dance—A thousand years.

And again, she got my attention. First were my eyes, now she got my ears too. What's next?

Then all of a sudden our eyes met and my heart was like,

Dugdugdugdugdug

Napahawak nalang ako sa dibdib. I'm practically palpitating.

I guess I should stop drinking coffee.

"Okay ka lang?." Tanong ni Jeremy.

Tumango nalang ako and brushed it off at napainom nalang.

What in the world was that? Weird

Nagfocus nalang ako sa napakagandang sunset by the shore.

8 PM

May mga guests na nagsiuwi na habang may mga nagdecide na magovernight sa resort to join the party na madalas na nagaganap rito.

"Enjoy." Huling sabi ko kay Kuya habang naglalakad sya papunta sa finally wife nya nang si Ate Aubrey.

So, eto ngayon ako sitting right beside Jeremy by the shore peacefully watching the waves.

When Jeremy said,

"Uhm Pards."

"Yes Pards?."
