How We Never Met (MIKHAIAH)

Chapter 2

Aiah's POV

DINNER

Kasama ko ngayon si Jeremy, Kuya Bryan and his wife Ate Aubrey.

The newlywed were just talking about their plans para sa honeymoon nila samantalang wala naman kaming imik ni Jeremy until he finally broke the silence,

"H-how's surfing with Mikha?."

"How'd you know her pala?." Tanong ko.

"Haven't you seen the news? Madalas dinadayo tong resort na to because of her. She had some solid fanbase all over the Philippines, aside from she's the only daughter of this resort's owner, matinik din talaga sya pagdating sa chix." Sabi ni Jeremy.

"Chix?."

"I thought you've already figured by now Pards, she's gay. Kaya nagtataka nga ako kung bakit napapadalas kayong magkasama. Naiisip ko nga minsan na baka pinopormahan ka nya eh haha o di kaya you're also one of her admirers out there. Pero sabi ko impossible, di mo rin naman sya papatulan kasi di ka naman tibo haha." Sabi ni Jeremy.

Napaisip ako saglit, WHAT IF

"What if--"

"Ha?."

"What if g-ganun na nga? W-what if nagugustuhan ko na siya?." Sabi ko.

"I don't think you know what you're talking about. Aiah, she's a girl haha. Alam mo, baka--" Sabi ni Jeremy.

"No. Jeremy, I think I'm falling for her."

"What are you talking about? You've only met her for like 2 days." Sabi ni Jeremy.

"Y-you asked me about soulmates right? What if it's her? I mean we are in the right place, at the right time--" Sabi ko.

"But unfortunately not the right love. Aiah naman, babae yun. Di ka naman--"

"What if I am? What if kaya di nako nagkaboyfriend after Jacques is because--Jeremy, I think I found the one." Sabi ko.

"Prove it."

The next thing I knew I suddenly grabbed Mikha from the girl she was talking to and pulled Mikha in for a deep passionate kiss, all for Jeremy to see and believe.

People around were baffled as well. Some were even taking photos and videos and I'm pretty sure a lot of girls and guys here wanted to stab me or something.

She pulled away saying,

"What do you think you're doing?."

"He's watching." Sabi ko.

Napalingon sya sa direction ni Jeremy and then to my surprise Mikha suddenly went along with it and kissed me back, but this time it was gentler and loving.

The he left

"Alright guys, show's over." Sabi ni Mikha kaya nagsibalik narin ang mga tao sa pagpaparty.

She dragged me into her hotel room sa galit habang sinusundan at pinagkakaguluhan na kami ng mga tao.

It's as if they're going to kill me anytime soon.

"What the hell was that?!."

"I-I'm sorry, I-I he asked me to prove it. And I-I kinda lost it. Kaya--"

"Asked you to prove what?."

"That I'm in love with you."

"Are you out of your mind?! Why would you say that?!." Sabi niya.

"I-I don't know. It just suddenly hit me. This is the only way I know to reject him but at the same time keeping him as a friend. Kaya please, ibigay mo na sakin to. Mikha, please." I sincerely told her habang nangingilid na ang luha ko.

Then I saw her face slowly softening.

"Okay, okay. I'm sorry. What do you want me to do?." Mahinahon nyang sabi sakin.

"I don't know. I messed up." Sabi ko.

"Then that makes the two of us." She said and for the first time she smiled at me.

That freakin' smile, those lips--

No, Aiah you can't.

But she's now looking at mine.

I was about to lean closer when she took a step back.

"What are you doing?." Tanong nya. G, that low husky voice.

And I was about to kiss her but she stopped me saying,

"No. Na ah. Not happening. Look Aiah, y-you can't just do that out of nowhere you know and--"

"You kissed me back Mikha." Sabi ko.

"Yeah--b-but no, G. That's not the point. You're not dragging me into this. Find someone else, find a better excuse I don't care." Sabi niya.

"Hey chill, it's just a kiss." Sabi ko, trying to calm her nerves down kasi parang nagpapanic na sya.

"You wouldn't get it anyway. You know what, leave." Sabi niya.

"How? Sobrang daming tao sa labas. And they look like they're all trying to kill me." Silip ko sa bintana.

Nakikita ko ang mga taong nagkakagulo at sinusubukang pigilan ng mga guards na pumasok sa building. Para silang sinapian o ano.

"And who's fault is that?." She said with her arms-crossed.

Gosh, why is she so ho--no Aiah, don't even dare. She obviously looks like a heartbreaker.

"Then I'm staying with you for the rest of the night then." I smirked.

"Okay, you're sleeping on the floor." Sabi niya.

"Oh wow, napaka hospitable mo naman pala idol. Thank you ah." I sarcastically said.

"Fine, I'll sleep on the couch." Sabi niya.

"Bakit di nalang kasi tayo magshare ng bed?." Sabi ko.

"I don't trust you." Sabi nya sabay kuha ng unan at blanket nya.

Sus, kunwari pa to.

Kung di ka lang talaga maganda Mikha tsk.

So, ayun natulog ako sa bed nya na mukhang kakapalit lang din ng bed sheet kaya ambango.

Pero ewan ko ba, di naman ako ganto dati pero it's like I'm suddenly drawn to her like those other people out there.

Mikha's POV

Remember rule # 1 Mikha, Never kiss an unbeliever. What have you done?

And as expected, Dad called at exactly midnight. I tiptoed to the bathroom para di magising ang natutulog na si Aiah.

I am in deep deep trouble.
