like yarn, we compliment eachother so well
like yarn, we build something, so precious
like yarn, we get tangled in eachother
but, also like yarn,
we unravel
we grow apart
we're so intertwined with one another
that we can't tell the difference
between my yarn and yours
people see ours together so often
that they can't either
they can't tell our yarn is unraveling
we both twist and turn
trying to get back to how it was
but while one person does
the other backtracks
ruining the other persons yarn
taking away the progress they had built
maybe it's time to start anew.
new yarn.
new colors.
and leave the old yarn in a box,
somewhere in the attic.
