Prompt: Lover gets bored and starts copying everything rep says.
——

It was a lazy Sunday afternoon, and Lover was sprawled out on the couch, flipping through the channels aimlessly. She glanced over at Reputation, who was sitting at the dining table, engrossed in her laptop. They had been dating for three years, and while their relationship was solid, Lover couldn't help but feel a twinge of boredom.

Lover's thoughts wandered back to the early days of their relationship, the whirlwind of emotions, and the excitement that seemed to permeate every moment. Now, things had settled into a comfortable routine, which was nice, but sometimes a bit too predictable. She decided she needed to spice things up a bit, maybe have a little fun at Reputation's expense.

With a mischievous glint in her eye, Lover got up and sauntered over to the dining table, leaning casually against it. Reputation glanced up briefly, then back at her screen.

"Whatcha doing?" Lover asked, trying to sound nonchalant.

"Just working on some lyrics," Reputation replied without looking up.

"Just working on some lyrics," Lover echoed in the same tone.

Reputation's fingers paused on the keyboard, and she looked up, one eyebrow raised. "What are you doing?"

"What are you doing?" Lover repeated, her face a picture of innocence.

Reputation narrowed her eyes, a smile tugging at the corners of her mouth. "Are you seriously fuckin copying me right now?"

"Are you seriously bleeping copying me right now?" Lover mimicked, unable to hide her grin.

"Alright, fine," Reputation said, closing her laptop with a dramatic sigh. "Two can play at that game." She stood up and crossed her arms over her chest.

"Alright, fine. Two can play at that game," Lover repeated, crossing her arms in exactly the same way.

Rep took a step closer, her eyes glinting with amusement. "This is going to get old really fucking fast."

"This is going to get old really fricking fast," Lover said, but her eyes twinkled with the same playful light.

"Fine," Reputation said, turning sharply on her heel and walking toward the kitchen. "I'm going to make some coffee."

"Fine. I'm going to make some coffee," Lover parroted, following her.

Reputation grabbed the coffee pot and started filling it with water. Lover mimicked her every movement, right down to the way she tapped her foot impatiently as the water filled. Rep turned, a wicked smile on her face.

"Oh, you're good, baby" she said, grabbing a mug.

"Oh, you're good, baby," Lover repeated, grabbing a mug of her own.

They went through the motions of making coffee, Lover copying every single step, down to the tiniest detail. By the time they were both seated at the kitchen table with their steaming mugs, Reputation was struggling to keep a straight face.

"Alright, enough," rep said, holding up her hand. "Truce?"

"Alright, enough. Truce?" Lover echoed, then burst out laughing.

Rep couldn't help but join in. "What got into you today?"

"I don't know," Lover admitted, still chuckling. "I was bored, and I guess I just wanted to see if I could get a reaction out of you."

"Well, mission accomplished," Reputation said, shaking her head. "You definitely succeeded."

They sat in comfortable silence for a moment, sipping their coffee. Lover felt a warm, contented feeling wash over her. Maybe things had settled into a routine, but moments like this reminded her why she loved Reputation so much. They understood each other, could have fun together, and always managed to find a way to keep things interesting.

"You know," Reputation said, breaking the silence, "if you're ever bored again, you could just ask me to do something fun."

Lover smiled. "Yeah, you're right. How about we go out tonight? Just the two of us. Maybe revisit some of our old haunted houses? It's around Halloween. They should be open,"

Reputation's face lit up. "I'd love that.. 3 days, 12 hours, 54 minutes and 21 seconds till Halloween."

"Great," Lover said, leaning over to kiss her. "Let's make tonight one to remember."

Rep accepted the kiss, with a smirk. "Let's make tonight one to remember," Reputation echoed softly, but this time it was a promise, not a mimicry.
