Chapter Five

Charlie looked at the two girls "Okay what is it?"

Ellie gave Auzla an encouraging nod, and the blue-eyed girl, took a deep breath looking at Charlie she was a little nervous which was understandable but took a deep breath and then launched into the explanation of why she was there and she dropped the bomb on him that he was her biological father (I will detail this more in the book about Azula.)

After she was done Charlie just stared at her for a few minutes "How old are you?"

"22, I was born in 1983, March 15th to be exact."

"And you're positive that I'm your biological father?"

"Yes it's listed on my birth certificate, my original one anyway which was given to me when my adoption records were unsealed and the adoption papers were signed by Renee Higginbotham, who Ellie mentioned was your ex-wife."

He got to thinking then and realized that during the end of '82 and partially through '83 he didn't see much of Renee who was his girlfriend at that time... "so Renee hid the pregnancy from me then? because thinking back we didn't see her a lot during that time frame which would make sense if she was hiding that she was pregnant..."

"I have all of the paperwork with me if you would like to read over everything."

Charlie nodded at her, his mind was reeling at this but he wanted full proof before he said anything about it, "I would like to see those papers."

Azula nodded and pulled out all of the documents that her adoptive father had gotten together for her and slid them across the table for Charlie to look over.

Things were quiet while Charlie was reading over the papers, Azula bit her lip nervously she hoped that what Ellie had told her was true, sure she had her adopted father, who loved her and treated her like she was his biologically, but he understood that she was curious about where she came from, which is why he had done all of this for her to find out about her biological family.

Ellie just squeezed the girl's shoulder in reassurance, she upon spending a little more time with the girl could feel the family magic in her which was something that she could never do with Bella no matter how much time she spent with the younger brunette, which made her think about what her mom had said about Bella possibly not being Charlie's daughter.

Mum, I think you may be right about the Bella thing.

Well it's a long story but basically, this girl showed up at the house claiming that Uncle Charlie is her father she's a year older than I am, and turns out it's true, Renee and Charlie are her parents, but Renee hid the pregnancy and put the baby up for adoption but I've spent maybe two hours talking to her and can feel the family magic in her, something that hasn't happened with Bella no matter how much time I've spent with her but then again maybe she just took after Renee and is completely human.

Well we need proof about that before telling your uncle because it will crush him

True, I will try to figure out a way to prove it, without him knowing what I'm up to.

Ellie slipped her phone back into her pocket, she now needed a plan so her uncle Charlie wouldn't know what she was doing. The older man sighed as he finished reading everything and it seemed like the girl was telling the truth all the documents were signed by Renee and both of their names were listed on the birth certificate.
