Highschool AU: Enough

In the morning, it was a bright, sunny day. The warm sunlight shining into the window of the small house. "William?" Anne (his mother) called out. "Hmm?" William replied, packing his bag ready to go. "Where is your sister, Kelly?" she asked, washing the dishes.

A 15 year old girl was running out the living room with her bag on her shoulder, her messy brown hair flying everywhere and her phone in her hands. "I'm gonna be late meeting my friend!" Kelly yelled. Both William and Anne looked at her in confusion.

"Kelly, love. You haven't ate breakfast yet!" their mother called out but she had already left. Anne sighed heavily, William feeling a tad guilty. "She's getting older..." Anne chuckled to herself, "You are too, William but you grow differently."

"What do you mean, ma?" William raised an eyebrow. Another chuckle came from their mother, "Well, you're not always on your phone, you still help me around, you behave and don't usually go out. You treat me so differently compared to your sister."

The eldest sibling knitted his eyebrows and replied, "Ma... I will always help you, no matter what! Kelly... Well- she just hasn't understood yet!" Anne smiled at her son, "You understood at her age. Why can't she? Is it because of that phone of hers?" William shrugged, "Well you better go now, William, or you'll be late."

"Alright, take care ma!" William said and hugged her. "Have a good day at school Will. Remember to eat your lunch, you need to grow healthy and strong!" the mother called out and smiled to herself.

"Of course! Bye!" William yelled as he was already heading out the door."
____________At school_______________

"Babe!" a black haired man called out to William. "Good morning, darling." William replied and gave him a kiss on his forehead. "I missed you!!" Nathan hugged him. "I missed you too, you big baby." William smiled.

A blond girl with blue eyes came and said, "Hey lovebirds!" Both William and Nathan rolled their eyes lazily. Then, Kelly came over, "Hi Nathan! Oh and hello brother." Kelly looked over at the blond girl and said, "Who's this blondie?"

"That's Jennifer, my friend," William replied, "Just go away to your friends or something." Kelly protested, "No! I wanna stay here with you!" This was quite suspicious why she would want to stay with her brother. She never does at home, only when he's with his friends. "Um is that okay either you guys?" William asked, looking at Nathan and Jennifer. "Fine by me," Nathan and Jennifer shrugged.
____________Later on________________

"And then he screamed!" Kelly exclaimed, "Because of a spider, hah!" Nathan and Jennifer laughed and William just gave his sister a glare. "Not funny," William responded coldly. "It's fine, babe. Don't be so down!" Nathan giggled and kissed him on the head.

"Yeah don't be sensitive William!" Kelly called out. "That's not what I said, Kelly!" Nathan exclaimed. "But it's true, he's sensitive and scared. No confidence at all, helpless, honestly brother! You need to improve." Kelly said.

It was silent for at least a few minutes until William finally said, "At least I'm not an insecure bitch who goes around telling others they're not good enough." There was a gasp coming from Kelly, "I do not do th-!" But she was interrupted by her brother, "At least I'm not a brat who's disrespectful to someone who raised you for your whole entire fucking life."

Her eyes widened in anger and shock. "At least I'm not desperate for relationships," Kelly responded angrily. There was a chuckle from William, "I'm not the one who hooks up with several different guys a week and I would never steal someone's boyfriend." Both Nathan and Kelly gulped.

"W-what do you mean?" Kelly panicked. "You made out with Nathan, right? I saw you two in a classroom," William said calmly but deep inside he's hurting badly. "That's not true babe!" Nathan exclaimed. There was a sigh from William.

"We are breaking up..." William said and ran away, tears streaming down his face.

Jennifer glared at them in disgust and said, "Assholes." She ran after William and left Nathan and Kelly alone.

With William
William was alone in a dark classroom with only a few candles lit. He was sniffling quietly and wiping his tears with his sleeves. "I fucking hate them," William whispered to himself.

He didn't notice someone else coming in. "Are you alright?" someone said. He looked up to see a tall, handsome boy with blond hair tied back in a ponytail. His diamond blue eyes looking worried. He crouched down to William and said, "I'm Vincent by the way, Vincent Harper."
