"You know this whole mission thing is nuts." Ezra said to Hera. Nick agreed playing a role " I agree. Don't get me wrong I'm not against sticking it to the empire but there's no way I'd stick my neck out this far." "Who does that?" The two boys chorused. "We do." Was hera's response. Kayla was a tall kid. She tapped the poilts shoulder to get her attention. "Hera nodded opened a channel. "Troop transport 651 this is starbird coming in bound." On the other end she was asked to state her bissnues. "Bounty captured an additional Wookiee prisoner and we're told to place it with you." The person says they have no such orders. "That's fine. We already got paid by governor tarkin. You don't want the oversized monogram I'll jettison here let you explain to your superiors why the empire has one less slave." The twi'lek continued. "Permission to dock bay one." She smiled. Kayla then remembered something causing her eyes to widen. "Hera this feels too easy, plus there's only one transport, no ties around it but the ones it's carrying. The empire is smarter than we give them credit for and this reeks of a trap." She explained having full belief in her words. The tw'lek understood, she told the crew of her warning. "We'll be sure to keep that in mind." Sabine said ruffling Kayla's hair. It caused a bit to fall in front of her face. Ezra had a mental flashback, he another boy and a little girl were in the living room of his house. The other boy had the girl in his arms trying to protect her they were both pulled through the empty space in front of his eyes. He had tears in his eyes. He walked away when he heard a soft musical sound. He knew it by heart because he sang it to his little sister, who loved it. He snapped back to reality with tears in his eyes. He felt a gentle squeeze on his left hand, he looked down to see Kayla holding his hand in hers, trying to comfort him. She was also humming the exact same tune that he used to sing to his little sister when she was with him. He knew it calmed her down. " You are my sunshine, my only sunshine, you make me happy when skies are gray, you'll never know dear how much I love you, please don't take my sunshine away." She sang softly. Ezra perked up at the sound. "Hey how do you know that song?" She softly murmured, "My brother sang it to me since I was a little girl. It's always made me feel safe and comfortable." She smiled at the memories it brought. It helped to ease the pain and grief.
