Nick pov
After we discovered the real location of the Wookiees we were able to locate the correct coordinates and jump. This is already shifting the story. But hey the force wants us to be here. Ezra had given Kayla an energy sling shot like his. I still think it's impossible. He never had any whatsoever, but since we got here, it caused it to shift. I was proud of my sister for doing the right thing. We couldn't get close to the wokkies though. Hera was running a 22 pickup. I knew what that meant. "Hmmm 22 pickup, care to let us in on the secret?" Ezra asked. I agreed, "What is a twenty-two pickup?" "Kids I'm about to let anyone in on the secret." He told us. I saw Kayla's face light up, she knew what was coming. I watched as Kanan halted his dying blaster, and pulled out his lightsaber. When he stood in ready position. The ISB agent ordered "All troopers focus your fire on-on the Jedi." The Jedi deflected the bolts easily. I suddenly remembered the wokkie cub, but apparently so did critter, because she was already on it. I think this could help unravel her wall of isolation.
Kayla POV
I ran after the kid. He was about my age. He saw that stupid bucket-head was scared and started running away. I chased them, "Hey!" I said tossing a rock. He looked at me and I made my move. "I suggest you pick on someone your own size." I said beckoning with my finger.  He ran towards me. I opened my metaphorical door and let the force flow through my veins. I lept over his head. I used my energy sling shot to get him over the edge. I then turned to the cub. I knew Kallus would be coming after me. I'd just unlocked the poor kid from the cuffs, I heard the safety of a gun being removed. "It's over for you Jedi!" He spat, walking twords  us. "A master and three apprentices such a rare find these days." Force does this guy ever give up? The boys land behind us with a clunk, and stood in front of us protectively. We raise our weapons as a warning. He didn't get the message. Of course he didn't. "I don't know where you get your delusions bucket-head! We're working alone." I snipped "Not this time!" Kanan called. I saw him standing on the ghost. "Jump kids!" He told us. We all jumped- well except the wokkie who was scared. I ran over to him, and offered my hand. "We'll do this together, ready?" He nodded and took it. We ran and jumped. Ezra and Nick helped bring us up. As we flew off, blew a raspberry at the imperials. I have no idea why that felt so good. When we got back inside the cub was reunited with his father, he then came back to me and took me by the hand leading me towards his father. I bowed my head in greeting, and a bit of grief for my adoptive parents. "You're very lucky to have a parent, kittwar. I hope you know that." I whispered to him. He looked at me with a smile and signed something, but I didn't see it, so when he repeated it pointing to me, himself and making a two-handed fist. I finally realized that he was saying I was his friend. I returned the gesture. He smiled and pushed me playfully. I chuckled at his antics.
Third person POV.
Hera and Kanan were watching the whole exchange. Hera was reminded of someone she knew from the clone wars. "You know who Kayla reminds me of?" She said to Kanan. "Vella? I see it too." He replied with a sad smile, a small tear rolled down his face. Hera put her hand on his shoulder, he put his on top. Vella was his unofficial adoptive younger sister during the war, but he had to cut ties to protect her. He hoped she was still out there somewhere, and he would hold onto their memories for comfort. If the three of them are related somehow, I wouldn't be surprised. He thought. He drew a few shapes on his plam, a habit he picked up from his little sister.
