On Lothal, the night was cool and quiet. The only sound was the sound was the marching of the stormtrooper boots. Sabine, Zeb, and the twins were sent to find information on their missing friend who had been captured by the empire. A pair of familiar pant-splattered boots, along with red jumpsuit pants came into view. "Miss us bucket-heads?" A snappy female voice asked. The troopers turned around to find a colorful mandolarian holding a paint sprayer, standing next to her was a boy who had sandy brown hair in a red jumpsuit, silver vest. He a smug grin on his face and his arms crossed over his chest. "It's them!" They wasted no time shooting the two figures. "Yep you definitely missed us!" The boy snapped. "Well you've gotten a little better." Sabine snapped Nick swung up to stand beside his friend. "But we've gotten a lot better!" A transport rose up with the ramp open. The two made a mad dash and spun on the poles before waving at the troopers "Buh bye bucket-heads!" They snapped at the same time. They sabotaged an imperial complex destroying several parked TIE/ln space superiority starfighters, along with stealing an Imperial transport in the process. They flew into the night sky, the smoke took the shape of a star bird. Back on board the Ghost, the crew discussed how to infiltrate the Sovereign and rescue Kanan, who was imprisoned there. "The transport you stole will get us close to tarkin's distroyer." Hera thought aloud. Ezra was listening when he felt a twinge of fear from next to him. He looked at his little sister trying not to look scared. Ezra put his arm around her shoulder and smiled at her. It gave her a little relief. "Kayla what do you know about mustifar?" Nick asked. Kayla shook her head "Not much. But I do know that it's a Jedi death sentence." She mumbled. She looked at her feet. She zoned out of the conversation thinking about Kanan. She knew that Kanan was strong, but she also knew that the inquisitor was there, and the guy had experienced tough Jedi. She was going back and forth with her guilt. It's partially my fault i could've done something anything but I ran. A hand suddenly waved infringe of her face snapping her out of her trance. She blinked doing a double take. "Kayla are you sure you're okay." Nick asked. "I'm fine, just a little worried is all." She snapped at her brothers.

But with Kanan things weren't going as well. He was being tortured by the Grand Inquisitor for the location of other Rebel cells and the real identity of "Fulcrum."  "I told you I don't know of any other rebel cells or the identity of fulcrum." He wittily replied. Back on the ghost the rest of the crew decided to use the TIE fighter stolen by Ezra and Zeb and fill it full of EMP grenades, to take out the ship's power then dock their stolen transport with the ship to enter. "Uh there's a slight problem with that. It's not exactly how it used to be." When the ship was shown to them, it was completely covered in Sabine and Nick's artwork. "I like it." Kayla told the two, "it's an improvement."
Meanwhile, The Grand Inquisitor taunted Kanan with memories of his master, Depa Billaba's death during Order 66 and stirred up memories of his brothers and sister. Even with the rebels successfully infiltrating Grand Moff Tarkin's Star Destroyer, their sabotage elicited a swift response from Tarkin, who ordered stormtroopers from adjacent Star Destroyers to board the Sovereign. Chased by stormtroopers, Nick and Ezra were forced to separate from the crew to rescue Kanan alone. The rest of the crew attempted to get off the Sovereign. On board the stolen transport, Kayla and Chopper called "Fulcrum" for help.

Ezra and Nick are successfully rescued Kanan from his cell, but they were stopped by the Inquisitor in the ship's reactor core room, and a fierce duel ensued between Kanan and the Inquisitor. While caught in a crossblade, Nick and Ezra joined the fight with Nick using his own saber while Ezra used Kanan Jarrus' lightsaber (his own being borrowed by Kanan for the duel) that was attached to the Inquisitor's belt. After briefly disarming Kanan, the Inquisitor hurled his lightsaber at the twins, knocking them off of the platform, unconscious.Kanan, initially shocked and dismayed by what he perceived to be the "death" of his Padawans, quickly recovered and dueled the Inquisitor with renewed focus. He destroyed the Grand Inquisitor's lightsaber and forced him to hang on the ledge of the platform. The discarded lightsaber fell into the Sovereign's reactor core, destroying it and setting off a chain reaction. "Now I know there's something stronger than death, far stronger; the force. Let me show you how strong it is." He put both sabers in the hilt of the inquisitor, causing him to lose his footing and grip the platform. The Inquisitor then warned Kanan that "there are things far worse than death" before letting go and allowing himself to fall to his doom. The twins, who were not dead but briefly unconscious, reunited with a relieved Kanan. Hera, Zeb, and Sabine, having found their way back to the TIE fighter they used to infiltrate the Sovereign, escaped the Star Destroyer but were shocked to find that Chopper, Kayla and their transport were nowhere in sight. Kanan and Ezra stole the Inquisitor's TIE Advanced and rejoined their comrades, who were now stranded in space without Chopper. Tarkin evacuated the Sovereign, which was rapidly falling apart. In the ensuing space battle, the crew of the Ghost recognized the futility of escape. All hope seemed lost.  At the last moment, Chopper and Kayla returned with the transport, the Ghost, and three Corellian Corvettes. "Look alive everyone we're back. And this time we brought friends." Kayla said with a smile. After the TIEs docked with the transport, the fleet escaped from the Imperial flotilla. Hera reunited with Kanan. Then chopper and Kayla came to greet their friend. "Wait if Chopper and Kayla are here, then who's in the ghost?" Ezra asked. The crew returned to their ship, and they were greeted by  six rebel soldiers. They walked through and paused at the ladder to the cockpit.  They received a message from the person who's droids they returned. "I met you once and only for a few moments." Kanan said. Kayla had been struggling to see, and when she finally saw the male, her eyes widened. "Shut up, shut up shut up! You're senator Bail Organa, one of the foundering members of the resistance! It's an honor to meet you." Kayla said in awe. The senator revealed that they are one of many cells fighting the Empire. "Fulcrum" and a girl descended from the dorsal turret of the Ghost and fulcrum introduced themself as Ahsoka Tano. While Ashoka mentioned a change of strategy, Nick studied the girl a bit more closely. She had long black hair that faded into a bright green color, which was tied up in a ponytail. Her shirt was a forest green tank top with a light tan vest on top. Her pants were a reddish brown color. She wore fingerless gloves and a belt the exact same color as her vest. Her skin was a bit darker than his own. His eyes drifted drifting to her left arm to see a prosthetic. Anything past her left shoulder was metal. She was fiddling with a tool in her hands. "You know it's rude to stare, at least introduce yourself." She snapped. She looked up revealing green eyes that were fiery with passion, and she had a thin scar across her right eye. "Nick Briger." He said holding his hand out. "Riya Lansenas" she returned, shaking his hand. He found the girl nice and kind of cute.

Meanwhile Tarkin arrived back on Lothal and met Agent Kallus, who told him of an imminent insurrection as people were perceiving the Empire to be weak and vulnerable. Tarkin assured Kallus that the Emperor has sent an alternative solution: Darth Vader.

Yikes Vader showing up is never a good thing. Sorry I was late, hope you enjoyed the story! I would love to hear your thoughts on Nick and Riya's first meeting.
