Kim Crawford - Gillespie's office - 5:16(PM)
Mr. Gillespie spoke up.
"Now that you trust each other more, I have a mission for you," he said. Jack and I motioned him to continue.

"You need to take out this man," Mr. Gillespie said, dropping a file on the table.

I reached for it and Jack read over my shoulder. It read 'Top Secret'.
I opened it and it said: 'Mission 26'.
"Everything there is to know about him is in there," Mr. Gillespie said.

"When and where do we hit him?" Jack asked.

"You two are smart, you can figure it out," he said.

"You have no idea, do you?" I asked, raising my eyebrow.

"Not a clue." I rolled my eyes. This happens more often than you'd think. I've had it twice, Jessica's had it three times and I bet more people have had that too.

"Good luck." He shoo-ed us out of his office.

"We know where he is, but when are we going to get him?" Jack mumbled as he read through the file once more.

"We need to know his agenda. I know exactly who can help us," I said, walking towards the elevator. Jack followed and asked who.

"He's one of the best hackers we've got. He can hack into this guy's agenda for sure," I said.

"Let's hope he keeps it online, and not on paper," Jack said. He has a point, I haven't thought of that.
I threw open the glass door and  walked to Milton. I tossed him the map.

"We need access to his agenda. Can you do that?" Jack asked. Stupid question. Milton can hack almost everything. He can shut off all the power in Miami, if he wanted to.

"Do birds fly? Of course I can. Let's see," Milton said as he started typing.
"Hacking into his computer... Okay, he has a firewall. But no firewall is going to stop Milton Krupnick..," Milton mumbled as he started typing really fast. He squinted his eyes and slapped the table.

"I'm in." He said.

"Nice, now let's find out when and where we hit him," I said, putting my hand on Milton's shoulder as I leaned to look at the screen.

Milton clicked on agenda, but it was empty.

"Either he's not busy or..."

"It's on paper," I finished.

"Then I guess we have to follow him and wait for the right moment," Jack said.

"You want to do surveillance? 24/seven?"

"It's the only way. Or we have to break in, and by judging his computer, the house must be secured too," he told me. I cursed under my breath. He was right. It's the only way.

"Where could we stay?" Jack asked Milton. Milton checked the surroundings of his house and saw a hotel, very close.

"At the Palos Hills Hotel. You'd have to ask Mr. Gillespie, but that's the best option you have," Milton told us. We thanked him and went back to Mr. Gillespie.

"Sure. The expenses are on the HQ, good luck."

                              * * *
I knocked on Jessica's door. After she opened it, I explained what was going on. Not all of it, only that I'll be staying at a hotel. I'm not telling her about the mission because it's forbidden to do that.

"When do you come back?" She asked.

"Not sure," I said whilst packing a suitcase. I have to bring almost everything, because we're going to the other side of the country.

We're going to Seattle.

"Well, I'm gonna miss you," she said. I raised an eyebrow.

"No, I won't give you access to my fridge. Get your own groceries!" I told her. I can always see right through her. She won't miss me. Maybe a little but we were never the sentimental kind of friends. We don't hug or giggle or things like that.

"Later," I said as I pulled my suitcases out of my room. Jessica walked with me to the elevator, where she stopped.
"See ya," she said and waved as the elevator doors closed. I wonder what this guy has done to deserve death.

Maybe he's a murderer, or a psychopath or something like that.
I walked out of the building, to the Audi R8, that was taking me and Jack to Seattle. We would fly, but the boss is cutting back on the money supply.
I buckled up. As did Jack, who was driving. It's going to take 51 hours.

That's almost three days. We're going to stay at motels at night. Because we need to be very rested for what we're going to do.

"So, now that we're going to be stuck together for 51 hours, what do you want to do?" I asked.

"Stuck? You don't want to spend time with me?" Jack asked.

"No, no that's not what I meant-"

"Relax, I'm kidding," he said. That's so mean! And how did I not see that?

"Lets.. play a game," Jack said.
"What game?" I asked.
"I spy with my little eye..." he started.

Are you serious? I spy?

"Something red," he finished. I looked around.

"The gas station we just passed?" I asked. He made a 'ding' sound, meaning I was correct. Now, it's my turn.

"I spy with my little eye... something... round," I said.

"The steering wheel?" I made a 'wrong' sound and he sighed. After several attempts, he still couldn't guess it.

"The ring you got on your finger," I said. He laughed.

"How couldn't I see that?" He asked. I shrugged.

"I guess you're just blind," I smiled. After at least some hours of playing games, we now are in a town called Tifton, somewhere in Georgia.
I looked in the mirror and saw a red truck nearing. It had a few black dragons on the side.

"Jack, I think someone's tailing us," I said. He looked and his eyes went back to the road.

"Hold on," he said. He took a street to the right, and I fell against the car door.

"A little less aggressive next time, please?" I asked, sitting back up. I rubbed my right forearm, I was not prepared for that.

"Sorry," he apologized. The truck was still behind us.

"Now we know that it's tailing us, but why? Nobody knows what we're going to do. The assignment doesn't know us, why would someone chase us?" I asked.
"Maybe we're an assignment," Jack shrugged and took a sharp left turn. I fell against his shoulder.

"At least give me a warning when you do that!" I smacked him on the arm.
"Okay! I will, relax!"

"We're being chased by a truck. A big one that can throw us off the road. And you want me to relax?" I asked.

"Will you trust me? I got this!" He said. He swerved us into an alley.
The truck won't fit!

Maybe he isn't that dumb after all.
"I admit, that was smart," I said.

"Thanks," he said. It was nearly dark before we saw a motel.

"Is he gone?" I asked, yawning.

"I guess. Let's crash here," Jack said. We got our suitcases and went into the building. We were both exhausted, but Jack held it together more than me, I was about to collapse on the floor. Jack and I went to the room and I fell face first on the first bed I saw.

"Goodnight Kim," was the last thing I heard before sleep took over me.
