A/n: This was meant to come out a lot sooner, but I've been procrastinating the last few days. Been a little low energy.

Also, been playing the new AL event.

Sailing out into the open battlefield was not the best idea for anyone, even if they were a kansen. At least the girls could defend themselves and fight back against what was being thrown at them.

You on the other hand, were relying on Javelin to protect you on her own. While you didn't doubt her at all, it was clear that she would struggle the further you got out into the open water.

However, you were determined to stick to your goal of locating Laffey. The sleepy destroyer was somewhere close by, but you just didn't know where she could be.

"She can't be too far. Unless she got separated from the rest of the fleet." You thought as a beeping sound came from your radio.

When you picked it up, you almost had your eardrums burst by the yelling that came from the other end.

"SERVANT?! WHERE THE BLOODY HELL ARE YOU GOING?!" QE exclaimed from the other end, clearly having spotted your boat out in the open.

"Trying to group up and find one of Javelin's friends. They got separated." You explained.

"Can't she find her friend herself?!" QE said, now much quieter than before.

"You should not be risking yourself in the open water! I'm getting Bel to come to you to better protect you!" She said.

"Thank you." You said, just as you heard the sound of someone approaching quickly across the water towards you.

It was exactly who you were looking for. She was holding a light in her hands, using it to point in the direction she was moving. Once she came alongside your boat, she looked up at you stood on the deck.

"Ohh...I found you Commander." Laffey said, in a sleepy voice.

"In the end, yes you did. Javelin was worried about you after you got separated." You said.

"Laffey is fine...sleepy, but still combat capable." She said.

"Good. Stick close now. We've got to get back to a safer position." You said.

The sound of aircraft filled the sky above you and you looked up to see a squadron of Sakura Empire fighters flying towards you. Before they could get close enough though, they were all shot down.

A second later, a squadron of Eagle Union fighters flew past you, with Enterprise taking a ride on one of them.

"Woah...she can do that??" You marvelled as Javelin and Laffey also looked on in awe.
