Sharon answered the door to her new apartment to find Simon standing there, waving and smiling awkwardly. She eyed him up and down before grabbing her coat and stepping outside, crossing her arms.
"I was surprised to get your text asking to talk." Sharon told him.
"I found your number in Ambar's phone." Simon explained. "And I thought we needed to speak."
"Why?"
"Ambar."
"Is everything okay?"
"Everything is fine, Sharon. I promise."
"Then what is it?" Sharon asked.
"Ambar is hurting." Simon replied. "And I hate to see her in pain. Despite everything you have done to her, she loves you, she always has. She forgave you and was willing to give you a second chance."
Sharon didn't respond.
"I know I am not the man you foresaw your daughter dating. I am not wealthy or come from a noble family. I'm just a Mexican who loves to sing. I might not be able to give your daughter the world, but she is my world. I will spend every day for the rest of my life loving her and treating her with nothing but the upmost respect."
"You love her."
"More than anything."
"And you're not after her money?"
"What? Of course not! I don't care about money. I care about honesty and respect and loyalty." Simon sighed. "And yes, Ambar and I hadn't always gotten along. We had our fights. We had our issues. But things are better now. Your daughter is a beautiful and talented and kind- and good-hearted person. She doesn't need a man. She doesn't need me. She can make a truly remarkable life without me, on her own merit."
"You speak highly of her."
"She's everything to me."
"What was your reasoning for this meeting, Simon?" Sharon asked.
"I want Ambar happy. I want her to have everything." Simon replied. "Go see your daughter. Apologize. Be her mother. If you love Ambar, you'll want her to be with someone who loves her, and not Matteo just because he has money."
"And you're worthy of her?"
"Honestly? I don't know. But I want to be."
"You are very modest." Sharon remarked. "Unlike Matteo, who was a bit cocky."
Simon chuckled.
"You speak highly of Ambar, but not of yourself."
Simon didn't respond.
"And it was brave and.... Honorable of you." Sharon continued. "To come here today. You did not do it for yourself. You did it for Ambar.... Perhaps you worthy of her love after all."
Simon smiled at her and nodded.

Ambar stared at the window in her bedroom. Simon was outside, sitting next to Luna, as they were talking. There was a knock on the door as Alfredo walking, but Ambar didn't budge. She just stared at her boyfriend, smiling and laughing. He always made her feel better and calmed her down.
"How are you feeling?" Alfredo asked.
"I've felt better." Ambar replied. "But I've also felt worst."
"So, progress.
Laughing, Ambar nodded, as she turned to face him.
"Simon is a great guy." Alfredo told her. "Honest and kind. Loyal and trusting."
"I know."
"He appears to have treated you well."
"Better."
"I'm glad. I love seeing you happy. I've never seen you as happy as when you're with Simon."
"He makes me feel.... He just makes me feel."
"Sharon is wrong." Alfredo told her. "About wanting you with a man with a social standing. What matters is your happiness."
"I know."
"If you don't want her in your life anymore. I would understand."
Ambar sighed. "I'm not sure. It's hard."
"I know. But you're not alone." Alfredo told her. "You have me, the Valientes, Simon, and all your friends."
Alferdo gave her a hug before leaving. Ambar looked at her phone to see a text from Sharon. To meet her at the park, to talk, to make a choice. Sighing, Ambar through herself on her bed.

Ambar walked to the park as she saw Sharon, who immediately stood up at the sight of her, meeting her halfway. Ambar didn't know what to say, so she remained silent.
"I'm sorry." Sharon apologized.
"You are?"
"Yes."
"For?" Ambar asked.
"Everything." Sharon replied. "What I did to you growing up. All the Sol Benson nonsense. Abandoning you. And wanting you to break up with Simon."
"So, you're okay with me being with him?"
"He's.... Something else."
"What do you mean?" Ambar asked.
"Unlike anyone I have met." Sharon replied. "He's honest and honorable."
"You think so?"
"I do."
"How would you know?"
"We had a chat."
"You did?" Ambar asked. "About what?"
"You." Sharon replied. "Getting me to see the brilliant woman you are and to reconcile our relationship."
"He did that? For me?
"He loves for very much."
Ambar grinned.
"I would like to start over." Sharon told her. "Be in your life. And get to know your boyfriend."
"I would like that very much."
