Chapter 6: Ambar's Choice Part 2!

Ambar walked back to the house, thinking about her mother. She's not sure what will happen, but she's happy they have a chance at the life they never had.

As she got closer, she saw Pedro and Delfi in the garden. Simon left the garden and joined them. She smiled as she stared at them, her heart nearly beating out of her chest.
When he saw her, he grinned. He grabbed a white rose from the garden and made his way to her, giving her a kiss on the back of her hand, handing her the rose.

"So, you spoke to my mother."
Simon sighed. "Yes. I am sorry if I crossed a line-"
Ambar grabbed his hand, shaking her head. "It was so sweet. And I love you for it."
Simon kissed her lips softly. "I think she's coming around."
"I think so, too. Thanks to you."
"No. Not me, my love. It was her wanting you in her life. And who wouldn't?"
Ambar blushed, wrapping her arms around him.
"I have to get to work." Simon told her. "I don't want my boss to get mad." He winked.
Ambar laughed. "Oh, she could never be mad at you."

Simon kissed her cheek before walking off. Ambar stared at him as he walked away and then sniffed the rose, smiling to herself.

Ambar sat at the chair, staring at Simon as he worked, her paperwork on the table before her. Luna noticed and sat across from her.

"I'm sorry about the dinner with Sharon."

"Don't be." Ambar insisted. "It all worked out."

"It did?" Luna asked.

"We spoke." Ambar replied. "And she's willing to give Simon a chance and try and be in my life, letting me live my life for me."

"What was with the change of heart?"

"Simon."

"What?"

Ambar smiled as she stared at him serving tables. "He met with her. I don't know the details of their conversation, but...."

"But?"

"She apologized for everything. She never.... He got her to apologize. To try. Whatever he said to her made her think he was a good man."

Luna smiled. "All it takes is one conversation with Simon to realize that."

"That conversation could have gown south. And he's smart enough to know that. But he was willing to try, put himself in that position, and all for me."

"Simon.... Loves." Luna told her. "With everything in his heart and soul. If Simon loves you, he would go to the moon and back for you."

"No one has ever loved me in the Simon does. I haven't always been great.... I don't know what I've done to be worthy of such a man. Of such love."

"You love him, and you choose him. Again and again. That's enough to be worthy."

Ambar smiled. She got up and walked up to Simon, who stood behind the counter.

"Helpo beautiful."

Ambar blushed. "Want to sing?"

"With you? Always."
