"If only a kiss or a hug could travel thousands of miles"

(Sarah's POV)

I was awaken from my sleep by someone viciously shaking me. My vision was still blurry from my eyes trying to adjust so all I saw was a tall figure standing over my bed and I wanted to scream really, really loudly. However, before I could do that, my vision adjusted and I saw my dad standing there with a giant grin on his face.

"Good morning, sweetie!" he beamed, almost jumping while greeting me. "Are you ready to start the best vacation of your entire life."

"I will be if you stop yelling, what time is it anyway?" I asked, trying to look at my phone but the screen was too bright.

"Oh, it's 5 am!"

"Excuse me?!" I looked at the windows in my room and only just noticed that it was still dark outside. "I thought our flight was at 11? We literally live 30 minutes away from the airport."

"Well, we have to make sure everything's packed and ready and you know I love to get there early!" he explained and I just sighed. "Dad, I already packed everything last night. Can I please go back to bed?"

"Nope! We'd absolutely LOVE to have you part of our family activities!"

I gave him a blank stare and when I realized he wasn't giving up, I sighed as I got out my bed. I knew there was no use in arguing with him because he wasn't going to stop until he got his way. I almost wanted to cry from how tired I was as I decided to just change into what I was going to wear to the airport now. I threw on some gray sweatpants and a white top and quickly brushed my hair. After that, I went to use the bathroom and brush my teeth before I met the rest of my family out in the living room.

I was absolutely baffled at the sight I was seeing. For some reason, there was clothes everywhere with four different suitcases open and the four of them running around like chickens with their heads cut off.

"Has anyone seen my phone charger?! I canNOT leave without my phone charger!" Wheezie yelled, flipping over piles of clothes.

"I don't know- I think it might've been in the kitchen," Rafe recalled and Wheezie rolled her eyes before trying to maneuver to the kitchen through the mess on the floor.

"You know you could just borrow mine?" I stated.

"Absolutely not. No offense, but your charger takes way too long to charge my phone, plus mine has fast charging," Wheezie remarked as she continued her way to the kitchen.

"Whatever."

"Wait, Wheezie! Before you go I must recap what's our plan for today," Dad exclaimed.

"Can't you do it before we leave?" she asked and Rose gave her a glare. "Fine."

"Thank you! So, as you all know, our flight is at 11 so we will be leaving the house at 9. After we leave, our first stop will be to get food because I'm sure we'll be hungry. After we get food, we'll be making another stop at John B's house!"

"What?!" I gasped. "I mean, oh wow! I didn't know we were seeing him today."

"Well, we thought you would want to say goodbye to him before we leave, no?" Rose questioned, her voice slightly shocked.

"No of course, it's just.. well I already said goodbye to him so it'd be awkward to say goodbye again, don't you think?"

"Of course not! Plus, he didn't say goodbye to me so I need to make sure he knows what work to do on the boat while I'm gone," Dad insisted and I almost wanted to die right there. I mean me and John B are still friends but because our break up is still so fresh, I'm sure it's going to be excruciating.
