"If you think I am crazy, you should meet my brother."

(Sarah's POV)

After receiving our luggage, we made our way to the pick up area so we can get into our Uber that was waiting for us. It took a while but when we finally found the right car, my dad, of course, had something to say.

"Why on Earth did it take us nearly 10 minutes to find you!" he shouted at the top of his lungs.

"I don't know- maybe because this is an airport and there's like 100 other Uber's also here to pick people up?" the driver responded in a sarcastic tone.

"Well, you should've made it easier to find you," Dad countered, causing the Uber driver to roll his eyes. "Yeah, next time lemme just fly the car over the other ones and land right next to the entrance."

"See, you're thinking of better ideas already!" he beamed as he got into the car. I felt bad because it had only been 2 minutes and I know the driver was already tired of us. The rest of us got in after loading the luggage. The car ride was.. as peaceful as it was going to get in this wicked family.

My dad shouted out everything small thing he saw on the island, including stuff we literally have at home. It was utterly ridiculous but no one bothered commenting on it as I'm sure they would've received a 80 minute lecture.

We finally arrived at our amazing hotel. I had to admit, I never cared about money or things like that but I was glad that we got to stay in beautiful places like this. The hotel had a large pool area that I was absolutely gonna use and there was a built in buffet that served food all day. I could definitely get used to this.

My stepmom thanked the Uber driver as we grabbed our bags and made our way inside. My dad immediately went to the receptionist to get us checked in.

"Hello! Can I get a name for your reservation?" the lady inquired kindly.

Dad shook his head. "Yes! It's under the name Ward Cameron!"

She typed on the keyboard and when she finished, a confused look took over her face.

"Um.. it says the reservation was cancelled a few days ago?"

Now it was Dad's turn to be confused. "What? I didn't cancel the reservation."

"It says that when called to confirm, the person who answered the phone started screaming about how ridiculous it was for us to call and said he wasn't coming and hung up..."

I was absolutely dumbfounded. There was genuinely no way he did this. I will not believe it.

"Oh, I do remember doing that," Dad replied. "Okay I'm sorry about that mishap, I was just having a bad day. Am I able to get a new room?"

"Since your reservation was cancelled, let me see if there's another room available." The receptionist looked at her computer before sighing and shaking her head. "Unfortunately, we're all booked."

"This is outrageous!" Dad exclaimed.

"Well maybe if you didn't cancel the reservation..." Wheezie interjected before he silenced her. "I was having a bad day! Can't people make mistakes anymore?"

"Not ones that lead to cancelled reservations, no," I told him.

"Okay well there must be something we can do here."

"There's literally not. The summer is the busiest time of the year and all of our rooms are booked," she informed him and you can see the fire in his eyes.
