They all poof into the house to catch another woman, whom they assumed was Julie's mom, in the middle of a speech.
"You've got to rip that Band-Aid off and get the pain over with," The elder woman had said.
Julie sees the ghosts appear in her house and yells. This startled the other lifers in the house, but Julie saves it as the ghosts walk around, "That's me. Ripping off the Band-Aid. Aah!"
The woman chuckles, "There's my brave girl."
"Hey, Julie, I really like what you guys did with the place," Olivia had remarked.
"You shouldn't be here," Julie snapped to Olivia, yet the family mistakes it as her snapping at the woman lifer in the room.
"Oh, I'm just here to help, mija," the woman said to Julie.
"Oh... I think that's our cue to leave," Alex said.
"I told them not to," Olivia tells Julie defensively, putting her hands up.
"Then Luke got on his knees and begged," Reggie informed Julie.
"She can never say no to him," Alex nudged Olivia.
"Shut up!" Olivia snapped at the two as Luke came over, wrapping his arms around her.
"I mean, you should be at Pilates. Thanks for bringing us food," Julie tells the woman, saving herself from any more embarrassment.
"We should've called first," Alex whispers as he poofs out.
"With what phone?" Olivia whispers back, poofing out, and soon enough the other ghosts poof out as well.
Back in the studio, Olivia is standing in front of her friends, scolding them.
"I told you guys we shouldn't have done that! It was a bad idea! Now Julie is gonna be even angrier with us and she's never gonna let us back in."
"Hey, you're the one that can never say no to Luke," Alex pointed out.
"Yeah, that one's on you, little sis" Reggie told her.
"I can say no to Luke, thank you very much," Olivia told them.
"Yeah, she's told me no before," Luke says, turning to his friends.
"Oh yeah?" Reggie questioned, doubtfully.
"When?" Alex asked.Luke and Olivia look at each other, and they mutually decide they need to change the subject.
"Let's play some music, alright? That'll cheer us all up," Luke said.
"Yeah," she lays on the couch as the guys look at each other before going to their respective instruments, and begin to play a song.
In the middle of their performance, Julie comes running in, yelling, "Guys! Guys, stop! Enough! Stop! Cut it out! "
Luke continues playing a riff while Olivia walks over, grabs his hands, and moves them off the guitar, telling him, "No," before turning to the other guys saying, "Ha!" And finally turning to Julie asking, "Happy?"
"No! No, I'm not 'happy'! The whole neighborhood could hear you. I thought I told you to leave."
"Wait. People can hear us play?" Luke asks.
"Yes! And so did my dad and my brother!" Julie snapped.
"W-W-Wait. Wait," Luke stopped Julie, trying to process this.
"So, only you can see us, but everyone can hear them play music?" Olivia asked, clarifying.
"I mean, what kind of ghosts are we?" The drummer asked his friends.
"Who cares, man? People can hear us play!" Luke announced, fist bumping his friends and hugging Olivia, spinning her around.
"We might be dead, but our music isn't," Reggie said triumphantly.
The door opens again and Julie's dad walks in.
"Dad!" Julie yells in shock.
"Hey. Just making sure you're okay."
"Yeah, I'm fine. I just had to turn off the CD player."
"Wait. Is this the junk that was in the loft?" Julie's dad asks, walking closer to the instruments.
"Junk?" Luke snaps, offended, causing Olivia to go over to him and grab his arm soothingly.
"Some of this stuff's in pretty good shape," Julie's dad hits the cymbals on the drums, "Hey, maybe we can make a couple bucks."
"What? Yo, stop touching my drums. Tell him to stop touching my drums," Alex yells.
"I liked that song you had on," the dad tells Julie, causing the band to smile.
"Sweet!" Luke cheered.
"We're Sunset Curve," Reggie said, leaning on Luke's shoulder.
"Tell your friends," Olivia said, leaning on Luke's other shoulder.
"It's just an old CD I found," Julie said, emphasizing the 'old' in her statement, causing Olivia to gasp in offense and walk over to her, causing Luke to pull her back into his chest.
"Hey, we are not that old. And you're a teen, I'm 16, they're 17, so we aren't that much older!"
Luke leans down, whispering in her ear, "Might wanna add 25 years, princess-""Nuh uh!" Olivia snapped, pouting, causing Luke to just laugh at her antics.
"Well, still, it's nice that you're listening to music again. Out here you can play whatever you want, whenever you want," Julie's dad kindly told his daughter.
"Oh! That's nice!" Reggie says.
"Stay out of this," Julie angrily snapped at Reggie, but her dad mistook it as her snapping at him.
"I-I'm sorry, honey. I didn't..." the poor guy trailed off.
"Oh no, no, no, no. Not you. I mean... Uh... Er... You know, give me a minute," She guides her dad out of the studio.
"Hey. Hey. Hey. Hey. We're gonna figure out this music program thing," Julie's dad reassured her.
"Thanks, Dad," Julie said, pushing her dad out of the studio and shutting the door behind him.
"He likes our song," Reggie announces.
"He doesn't count. He's a dad," Alex told him.
"Why can't you guys just be normal ghosts? Hang out at an old mansion. I hear Pasadena's nice. Ugh!" Julie groaned before storming out.
"I think she's warming up to us," Alex stated.
"Yeah, I've always wanted to go to Pasadena," Reggie tells his friends.
Luke turns to Olivia, "Ol, can you talk to her? Please? Girl talk and stuff? Maybe that'll convince her?"
"What? No!" She denies.
Luke then decides to use his secret weapon, his puppy dog face, "Please?"
She glares at the other guys, who are mocking her for not being able to say no, and she groans, "Ugh, fine," she poofs out and appears in front of Julie.
