As the sun rises in the distance I jump down from the tree branch I was standing on. 'I'm surprisingly super athletic and strong? Maybe a little too strong...' As I walk in the direction I've been walking in for who knows how long I smell smoke... and the all familiar sent of blood. Curious as to find out what it's coming from, I sneakily head over as I take off on a run my steps light not leaving a sound or footprint.

As I quickly close in to find a half-destroyed medieval town with corpses littering the streets with blood on the walls and floor.
"A real massacre..." My voice softening, as I look around with no survivors in sight.
"H-hey..." I hear a young girls voice call out to me as I look over to see a child no less. Panic obviously evident in the child's eyes but something else... Curiosity maybe? "A-are you one of those bad people?" She looked tense as she asked. 'Why would you come out if you knew I was bad?' I sigh shaking my head. "No, plus if they did this to your town then I would've just killed you on the spot..." My voice a bit too soft even for a girl as I cough away those thoughts now noticing how close the child has gotten. "Where's your mother, child?" I ask softly but now looking into her eyes there seems to be no fear in them at all anymore? 'Does she already trust me?' I blink back to reality now noticing that she is pointing towards me. "But you're momma?" She lets out a happy giggle now smiling happily as if nothing wrong happened. ".... I am not your mother." I start walking off not wanting anything to do with this place anymore. I quickly see the path here as I go to the very edge ready to walk off incase of a danger.

"How long do you plan on following me?" I ask softly with little irritation in my voice as I glance behind to see the child right behind me. "Does... mommy not want me anymore too?" She sounds sad and desperate to not be alone again. 'Has her mother abandoned her in that town or did she die there with the others?' As these thoughts cross my mind, I don't notice as the little girl climbs up onto my shoulder. I sigh as I look at her 'She doesn't need to feel the pain of being alone...' I hesitantly start walking again now with a child smiling brightly as she clings to me as if I'd disappear. 'This is such a pain... I don't even know how to be a mother for god's sake!' My internal turmoil goes unnoticed.

As I seem to be going deeper into this forest the sounds of wildlife can be finally heard here and there. 'It would be better if I didn't have a little brat pulling on my hair.' The child, now known as Emily (I gave her that name as she said she didn't have a name or refused to tell me), happily giggling and way too energetic while being around me as they pull on my hair while not staying put. "If you don't stop that... I'll make sure you never see me again." She instantly quiets down looking at me with a sad expression. 'I know your tricks already as you've been doing them the whole time with me but you somehow always manage to have it your way...' I groan in annoyance. "Ok fine... just don't mess with my hair too much..." Her expression quickly turns into a happy smile as she giggles. 'That little guilt tripper...' I look at the path ahead noticing what looks like wolves. 'Wolves?' I stop in my tracks as I now notice how they are looking in my direction I quickly head for the trees pulling Emily close to me.

Even for my fast agility from this new body I could hear them chasing me. Their loud footsteps giving them away and by how they sounded they were big. I glance behind me not seeing anything as I quickly speed up as fast as I can. I look for the tallest tree as Emily lets out small whimpers now realizing the grave danger we're in as find a tree I quickly head in that direction as I catch a glimpse of one wolf. It's fur a dark gray and reddish colored eyes while being as tall as a bus it was unnaturally fast. 'Why go for something so small?' Not thinking too much on it I quickly climb the tree as fast as I can as I hear the wolf's closing in I throw Emily onto the tallest branch as I feel something sharper rip into the flesh of my leg pulling me down as I somehow get out of it now with a bleeding leg I lean against a tree all three wolf's focusing on me. I chuckle to myself "So I die again, huh? You bring me back from the dead to just die again?" I let out another chuckle as I face death once more.
