In some unknown part of the forest, another survivor gets to their feet and she groans softly. "Ouch... my head...." The audible sound of leaves being crunched and crumbled under someone's foot is audible. She quickly looks around in a panic, trying to identify the source as she spots someone she seems to know or 'heard' of. "Oh... it's just you... you certainly frightened me. Can you help me find the others, Anastasia? That is your name right?" She says cautiously as the figure continues to approach. The empty look in 'Anastasia's' eyes signals something is wrong. As 'Anastasia' continues to approach it makes her feel unsettled, as the feeling of dread grows bigger, she slowly takes a step back while keeping her eyes on 'Anastasia'. "Um... please say something..." She says softly in a whisper as 'Anastasia' slowly changes to show it wasn't her but a plant that somehow mimicked her. The fear that takes over is what lets her live as she immediately makes a break for it.

"Sir..." says a soldier as he salutes, waiting for the signal to speak. The Commander glances at him as he reads the damage reports, "Report Soldier..." "Sir... we've got team Charlie on the ground looking for survivors..." "Well... spit it out did you find anyone?" "No sir... but we've found something interesting but that isn't the issue currently..." says the soldier as he looks at the commander worriedly. Said commander looks over at the soldier, his gaze now completely focused on him, as he asks "Then what's more important than that, Soldier?" The soldier pauses, his brow furrowing as he grapples with the right words to convey the news. "S-sir... multiple bogies are approaching..." "What do you mean, Soldier?" "When we were getting everything back online... the satellite that was knocked of course somehow caught 5 to 6 bogies... and the last we saw is that they were approaching earth at a very rapid speed..." "And why am I just getting this?" "Sir... this was a couple of minutes ago... and the approximate time that those bogies arrive is in 5 minutes..." The commander goes cold upon hearing this. After all, the damage is already tremendous so there is no need for more problems. Just as he was about to gather everyone for a rally, an ominous sound split the air—the unmistakable roar of the sky fracturing, resembling the thunderous approach of a meteor. In an instant, the ground trembled violently as a blazing object streaked through the atmosphere and crashed into the desolate remnants of what was once San Francisco. Dust swirled into the air, as a shockwave radiated outward, leaving a profound silence in its wake. Just as it was over another one landed in the desolate remains of San Francisco as the shockwave seemed stronger than the last. One by one, the sounds of commotion fade into an eerie silence, the air thick with the weight of anticipation. As the dust begins to settle in the aftermath, the soldiers take a moment to regroup, their eyes narrowing in concentration as they lift their binoculars to survey the remains of the city. 6 figures slowly appear as the dust settles, except they aren't human. Their bodies are contorted and elongated, and their appearance is similar to a certain 'individual' a couple of days ago on the Golden Gate Bridge. Just as things settle down once more the ground shakes violently, as a void-like orb grows, they go into it and just as it closes a bunch of meteors start to rain down on the world. Everyone near San Francisco had the worst of the damage.
