The climate in Great Britain is humid.
Even in September, it was still skin-piercingly cold at night.
Hagrid shook the huge oil lamp, "First years, first years! Come over here, oh Harry, are you all right? Come over here to me."
They followed Hagrid across the path to the lake and into the boat.
It bobbed around and headed for Hogwarts.
There were four people that could fit in one boat, Harry, Ron, and the remaining two were the brown-haired, buck-toothed otter that they had met on the train, and the coy, round-faced, fat Scottish-looking boy named Neville.
"Hello guys, hello again." The otter girl greeted them.
Ron responded perfunctorily, "Hello."
Harry nodded, more perfunctorily.
His attention was elsewhere, such as the refractory scents under the ...... water, one of which appeared to be unusually powerful; and then the ...... magical scent that had been wrapped around himself, every first year, since he had stepped onto the path.
As if the clouds had been lifted, the magnificent castle of Hogwarts became clearer and more intimate in one's own eyes.
A contract with the castle itself?
They emulated the experience of the four founders in discovering Hogwarts Castle, an action that was a ritual in itself?
The books didn't mention it, so all of this would have to be figured out when they got inside Hogwarts.
Led by Hagrid.
They walked up to the castle gates and met the Vice Chancellor, Professor McGonagall, who looked like she was not to be messed with, and were led to a side room where they waited.
"How can they assign us to exactly which academy?" The brown-haired otter frowned, somewhat torn.
Ron clenched his fists and looked over at Harry, "Fred, that's one of my brothers, said it was to pass a test that would hurt us a lot, but I think he was joking about me."
"My uncle said it was to wrestle a troll." Neville's face was horrified, clutching his toad in his hand as the poor little thing kept struggling.
Harry shook his head.
He didn't believe any of this.
Not even a being as cruel as a demon hunter would throw a child with no training whatsoever in front of demon spirits, ghouls, and sinister ghosts.
"Don't worry, we've already signed a contract with Hogwarts." Harry patted Ron on the shoulder, "Maybe ...... it's just a small spell to see your character and decide which house to stick you in."
According to the book ......
Throw in Gryffindor for the bold and brainless, Ravenclaw for those who love to learn, Slytherin for the devious and cunning, and then Hufflepuff for the rest.
Neville cried, "Oh no, I'll definitely go to Hufflepuff then."
"Does it matter which house?" Harry was puzzled, "The skills learned are the same."
Unlike the Schools of the Demon Hunters.
There were many schools of Hunters as well, but the skills that could be learned were different in different schools.
