**Chapter 6:captive**
Isabella's eyes fluttered open, and for a moment, she was confused . The room was unfamiliar, and a sense of dread settled over her as the events of the previous night flooded back.
She quickly realized she was not in her own home. Panic surged through her as she tried to sit up, her head spinning. Her eyes darted around the room, searching for an exit, but all she found was a locked door.
Frantically, she reached for the handle, desperation driving her movements. But the door remained stubbornly shut, sealing her fate.
A voice cut through the silence, sending a shiver down her spine.
"Oh, my sweetheart, trying to escape from me, huh?" Tristan's voice was laced with amusement as he stepped into the room, his smirk sending chills down her spine.
Isabella's jaw clenched, her fear masked by a veil of defiance. "What the hell do you think, Tristan? Do you honestly believe I would stay here after what you've done? Your sick tricks won't keep me locked away, knowing that I'll be the cause of your downfall one day."
Tristan's gaze darkened, but his smirk remained. "I don't abide by laws anymore, Isabella. I am a devil, a monster in human form. And now, you have no choice but to live with me. I love you too much to let you go."
Isabella recoiled at his words, a surge of revulsion coursing through her.
"Love? Don't you dare speak of love, Tristan. You've killed innocent people, including a judge who dedicated his life to justice. How could you be capable of love?"
Tristan's expression softened slightly as he leaned in closer, his eyes burning with intensity.
"I am capable of many things, my dear. And you will come to see that in time. For now, you're mine, and there's nothing you can do about it."
Isabella's resolve hardened as she met his gaze, her defiance unwavering.
"I'll never be yours, Tristan. No matter what you do to me, I'll never give in to you."
Tristan's smirk returned, his voice dripping with menace. "We'll see about that, Isabella. We'll see."
