**chapter 11: The Escape Plan**

Isabella woke up early, her heart pounding with worry. The first light of dawn barely lit the room, and she knew she had to act fast. Quietly, she took out her hidden phone and sent a quick message to Liam and Sophia: “Engagement is today. Please help me. Location: DeLuca estate. Need escape plan.”

As she put the phone away, Isabella felt someone behind her. She turned to see Elena standing in the doorway, looking both worried and determined.

“We need to talk,” Elena said softly. “I have a plan to get you out, but we need to move quickly.”

Isabella nodded, her heart racing with a mix of fear and hope. They sat down at the small desk in the corner of the room, and Elena began to explain her plan.

“There’s a hidden passage that leads out of the estate,” Elena explained. “It’s been used by our family for emergencies. I can guide you through it.”

“But where will I go?” Isabella asked, her voice trembling.

Elena took a deep breath. “I have a contact in Russia who can help you start a new life. It’s a big country, and with a fake ID, you’ll be hard to find. We’ll need to move quickly and quietly. Tristan is becoming more paranoid every day.”

Just then, Tristan’s voice called out from the hallway. “Isabella, are you up?”

Isabella and Elena exchanged a look of panic. “Quick, get back into bed,” Elena whispered. “I’ll handle him.”

Isabella slipped back under the covers, pretending to sleep as Elena opened the door. “She’s still resting,” Elena said calmly. “Let her sleep a bit longer. It’s going to be a long day.”

Tristan frowned but nodded. “Fine. We need to leave for the city soon. Make sure she’s ready.”

Elena closed the door and returned to Isabella’s side. “We don’t have much time. Be ready to leave as soon as the engagement ceremony starts. Tristan will be busy with the guests, and that will be our best chance.”

---

The day went by quickly. Tristan’s growing paranoia was clear, and he insisted on keeping Isabella close. He even limited her interactions with Elena, making it hard to finalize their escape plan.

When evening came, the engagement ceremony began. The estate was filled with guests, all dressed in expensive clothes. Isabella felt like a puppet, forced to smile and talk to people she didn’t know. But in the crowd, she spotted familiar faces. Liam and Sophia had managed to sneak into the event, disguised as guests.

Isabella’s heart lifted slightly. She exchanged a brief, meaningful glance with them, hoping they understood her silent plea for help.

As the ceremony went on, Elena created a distraction. She started a small commotion near the entrance, drawing Tristan’s attention away from Isabella. Taking the chance, Elena quickly led Isabella through the crowd and into the hidden passages of the estate.

---

The passage was dark and musty, but Elena knew the way. “This way,” she whispered, guiding Isabella through the twists and turns. The tension was high, every creak and whisper of the old house making Isabella’s heart race.

“Almost there,” Elena assured her, sensing her fear. “Just a bit further.”

Finally, they reached a small door that led outside. Waiting there were Liam and Sophia, their faces tense with worry. They had a car ready, engine running.

“Hurry, get in,” Liam urged, opening the door for Isabella.

Just as she climbed in, Tristan’s voice echoed through the passage. “Isabella!”

He had found them. Panic surged through her, but Liam and Sophia acted quickly. They sped off just as Tristan reached the exit, his angry shouts fading into the distance.

---

As they drove away from the estate, Isabella’s relief was overwhelming. She looked back to see Tristan disappearing from view, his figure growing smaller until it was finally out of sight.

“We did it,” Sophia said, a shaky smile on her face. “You’re safe now.”

Isabella nodded, tears streaming down her face. “Thank you,” she whispered. “Thank you both so much.”

Liam glanced at her through the rearview mirror. “We’re not safe yet. We need to get you to the airport. Elena arranged a flight and a new identity for you. Once you’re in Russia, you’ll be safe.”

---

The journey to the airport was tense but uneventful. They arrived and quickly made their way through security, using the fake ID Elena had provided. As Isabella boarded the plane, she felt a mix of fear and hope. She was leaving everything behind, but she had a chance at freedom.

---

Hours later, the plane touched down in Russia. Isabella stepped off, feeling the cold air and the weight of her new reality. She was in a foreign land, with a new identity, but she was free from Tristan’s control.

Elena’s contact, a kind woman named Katya, met her at the airport. “Welcome to Russia,” Katya said with a warm smile. “You’re safe now.”

Isabella felt a surge of gratitude and relief. “Thank you,” she said, her voice filled with emotion.

As they drove away from the airport, Isabella looked out at the sprawling cityscape of Moscow. It was a new beginning, a chance to rebuild her life far from the reach of Tristan and his family.

But she knew the fight wasn’t over. She would have to stay alert, always looking over her shoulder. Tristan wouldn’t give up easily. But for now, she had a chance at freedom, and she intended to make the most of it.

---

Back at the DeLuca estate, Tristan was furious. He had lost Isabella, but he vowed to find her. No matter how long it took, he would bring her back. His obsession with her had only grown stronger, and he would stop at nothing to reclaim what he believed was his.

But Isabella was determined. She had found her strength and her courage. She would survive, and she would stay free.
