Sensing that the atmosphere was going to sink into the awkward silence from before, Bakugou rolled his eyes to think of something and somehow continue the conversation.

He actually had many questions about the other, like why he was staying in the hidden realm instead of outside with the other humans.

Yes, Bakugou had assumed Nijirou was a human. It was because he didn't have any special characteristics that the other races were usually recognized with.

But he didn't ask anything and instead glanced upwards at the sky. The heat being radiated from the sun proved that it was almost lunchtime.

"Should we eat?"

The husky voice startled Nijirou and he turned towards the blonde human. Realizing that it was indeed lunchtime, he nodded towards the other person.

"Yes..", he started walking towards the mini forest surrounding them, "We might be able to find some edible fruits in this oasis."

"In the forest?", Bakugou didn't follow him though, "Isn't there food inside the shelter?"

"Ah", Nijirou also realized this mistake and paused in his footsteps, turning towards Bakugou behind him,

"Its all done", he scratched his head awkwardly. He himself had never gone inside so he didn't know what to say.

'..he's bad at lying', Bakugou noticed another thing about the other person. He didn't expose him though, silently nodding and taking the lead in walking into the forest.

'He must've landed here not too long back', he made up a convenient excuse to convince himself.

The walk in the forest wasn't as awkward as the both of them had imagined it to be. Nijirou was curious about everything he saw and asked questions frequently. Bakugou wasn't annoyed like he would be with anyone else and instead patiently explained everything to him.

"What's that?"

Turning towards the voice, Bakugou saw Nijirou pointing to something below the shade of a tall tree. Seeing the innocence in those eyes, he couldn't refuse the question.

Moving closer to the other person, he saw tiny mushrooms growing in a colony around the tree. Bending down towards them, Bakugou pulled out one and inspected it, all the while talking about it.

"-its a mushroom, they grow in shady and dark places", he lifted it up to show it to Nijirou, who had bent down near him at some time.

"Ohhh", the other's eyes sparkled in interest.

Inspecting it further, Bakugou showed a small smile, "Its edible."

"Good job finding it", he said while rubbing Nijirou's head instinctively.

"Hehe", Nijirou also smiled under the warmth he felt on his head. It was the first time someone had praised him so he was happy.

Noticing his out-of-character actions Bakugou was suddenly flustered, removing his hand from the other's head hastily and turning his gaze away.

"Let's go", he said as he picked up some of the mushrooms and headed deeper into the forest.

They had lunch in the small hut surrounded by bushes of flowers. It was just some wild mushrooms and small fruits but Bakugou wasn't dissatisfied.

He saw the other stuffing his face opposite to him and controlled his urge to chuckle.

"Is it delicious?"
