Nights in the desert were long and dark, making it seem like time had slowed down. So even though the fight had taken a long time, it only seemed like a few hours had passed since they had defeated the lich.
"How do we find the lich's bones though?"
Deku and his party members stood under the dark sky in contemplation. Although they were tired and hungry, their minds were fully refreshed after the fight.
"They said he had a scar on his right arm-bone, no?", the elven prince Iida spoke after some thought.
"Yes....and the skeleton-monster's bones are too huge for a human build like the lich's too."
Deku looked around at the mass of bones scattered around them. They have off a gloomy shine against the moonlight being reflected on them, illuminating their surroundings a little.
"We just need to search for the smaller bones then..."
"Yes", the others agreed and dispersed while searching through the bones.
"Come to think of it..", Uraraka was in the mood for a chat. Todoroki had already found the most important bone-the one with the scar-so they could relax as they searched for the other traces left behind by the lich.
"Bakugou-san really appeared at the right moment. If we didn't have his help..", she shivered at the thought.
"We would've been a part of these bones", Todoroki completed her sentence casually.
"Don't say such scary things!"
Uraraka almost threw the bones in her hand, shuddering and looking at the human prince with disapproval. Iida just laughed in the sidelines, not taking a part in their bickering as he searched.
'Thats true...Kacchan helped us a lot..', Deku was lost in his own thoughts.
Glancing backwards, he expected to see Bakugou's silent figure but-
"Kacchan?"
There was no figure.
"Kacchan?!!", instead he saw deep footsteps in the desert sand. Seeing that they had yet to disappear despite the wind being so strong, Deku guessed that it hadn't been long since the other left.
Dropping the bones in his hands, he took off in the direction of the footsteps. Bakugou's figure was barely visible at a distance after he ran for a long time.
Bakugou was dashing across the sand quickly, looking both restless and anxious.
"Kacchan wait!", no matter how loud Deku shouted, it was of no use. The other had his mind set and wouldn't turn back no matter what.
'Just where is he going?!', not knowing how to stop him, Deku could only follow him with difficulty.
It wasn't long before the others saw the situation and caught upto him as well.
"What's wrong with him?", they asked breathlessly while running beside Deku.
"I don't know!", he replied in frustration, "He just suddenly-"
But his words ended abruptly, because Bakugou running in the front finally stopped.
"Oh..."
"Wowwww"
They gasped in astonishment at the sight visible at a distance in front of them.
"An oasis..", Deku muttered under his breath.
His eyes flitted towards Bakugou who was in a daze as he stood before it. Running towards the other, he breathed a sigh before speaking carefully.
"Kacchan....did you lead us here because there was an oasis?", he suddenly smiled as if in realization,
