Chapter 5

Anna's POV

The next day, I felt extremely tired after all those continuous nightmares. I couldn't get a wink of sleep. It was 5:00 AM, and everybody was still sleeping. I brushed my thoughts aside and got up from bed. I went to the kitchen with my laptop since I knew no one was up. I didn't want to get caught up in analyzing team data and forget to help the others out. You know, that's actually the job of a manager. I went right ahead to analyze some team data for their next match against Red Bison, which will be in a week. According to the data I collected about them, they are known for having an aggressive play style both defensively and offensively. They like rough play and even attack players who don't have the ball.

Hmm, I wonder if they support Orion. Let's look into each player individually.

After that, I noticed that there were three players who were rougher than the others while playing. They seemed like they were playing on their own. Aha, these three may be from Orion because that's the Orion way.

It's such a bummer that I can't give this data to the team and help them out. If only there was a way. Just as I was lost in my thoughts on how to help the team, I got a call from Brother Bernard.

Bernard: "Morning, little princess. 

Anna: BROTHER , please don't call me that. How many times do I have to tell you?

Bernard: Sorry, little one. It's just that my little sister is a precious princess. So, what are you doing up so early in the morning?

Anna: Ah, I'll let it slide this time. So, what's the reason for calling me this early? I was just reviewing the matches for our next match.

Bernard: Next match? You're playing soccer again?

Anna: No, I don't think that will happen soon............... Oh, I forgot to tell you I was chosen as one of the managers for the Japanese football team.

Bernard: That's great, little one. If any guy tries to hit on you, just let me know. I won't let them live for another day.

Anna: Bernard, come on.

We chatted for quite a while, then I checked the time and realized it was almost 8:00 am. Oh, it's time for the team to wake up.

Anna: Well then, brother, talk to you later. Love you, bye!

Bernard: Bye, talk to you later, little princess.

Oh well, it's a shame I had to hang up. If we kept talking, he wouldn't stop going on about my health, avoiding guys, and all that. He's like a parent watching over his child. But I know he does it to protect me, and to be honest, I do get childish with him around and that's the side that no one saw of me.

with that I went right ahead in making breakfast 

Bernard POV

The little one, she's always like this when she talks to others. She says she's fine, but I bet she's having those nightmares again. If only Mama treated her better. Well, she didn't even treat us, her biological children, with love. How do we expect her to treat Anna in a good way? I always tried to make Anna feel loved, and slowly I found myself really caring for her as an older brother. That's how our bond was formed. I mean, she's so sweet, cute, and caring. I remember when we were kids, she would sometimes go to the kitchen and ask the chef to teach her how to cook. Then she would bring what she cooked for me and Froy. She was the sweetest.

Even through all that, she would smile in front of us and tell us that everything is alright. But when she was with others, she was always so cold and rarely interacted with people. Due to all that, she got that medical condition and would constantly get medications for it. But these medications have a negative impact on her health.

So, I got a call from Anna's doctor.for the monthly report.

Dr. Henry: Hello, Mr. Bernard.

Bernard: Hello, Dr. Henry.

Dr. Henry: So, I wanted to update you on Anna's health this month. Actually, I have some bad news. It's that...

Bernard: What is it, Dr.?

Dr. Henry: Anna has been increasing her dosage without informing me, and that is having a negative effect on her health. She has been getting a lot of strokes recently, and I am very concerned about what is happening. It also seems like her nightmares have increased, and the maids informed me that she hasn't been eating well recently.

Anna, you were going through all that and pretended to be fine. All that happening to you... (he was saying this while shaking).

Bernard: So, is there any way to improve her condition?

Dr. Henry: Inner peace is all I can think of. If she could overcome her fear, then the issue should be resolved.

With that, the call ended.

"What am I supposed to do, Anna? I feel like such a useless brother."

What Bernard didn't know was that Froy was also listening to their conversation.

Froy's POV:

I had no idea what sister Anna was going through, no one bothered to tell me. When I visited her last summer, she seemed perfectly fine. I was so oblivious. Looking back, she always had those vitamins with her, disguised in some way.

But now, I vow to seek revenge for you, dear sister Anna. Even though you're only two years older than me, you've always been more of a mother to me than our own mother. That witch, she's the reason for your suffering. I will never forgive her.
