Nosaka × Anna: Connection

chapter 3

Nosaka's POV:

As I was packing my bags to head to America for surgery, the selection process began. I turned on the TV and started watching as the commentator began announcing names. Then, he said mine - Nosaka Yuma.

I felt a rush of excitement that made me want to live instead of always feeling like I wanted to die or had no purpose in life. The nurse came in and told me the taxi was here. Nitqushi was going to accompany me to the airport. While I was at the Ares program, I always saw him as just an assistant. But now, I realize what a true friend he is and how much he means to me.

As I left Japan, I knew I would come back. I had to come back for you, my dear Anna. On the flight, all I could think about was Mikado Anna. Would she confess her feelings for me that day? Would she forgive me if I told her I rejected her because I wasn't sure if I would make it? These thoughts consumed my mind throughout the flight.

well all that thinking made me sleepy lets's rest fro now. 

Anna's POV

Ootani and I put on our uniforms and headed off to introduce ourselves to the team. Ootani was so excited, that girl always has so much energy, I don't know where she gets it.

Coach Zhang :gathered the team and said, "Okay team, now that you're in your uniforms, there are some people I want you to meet."

Ootani dragged me along and said, "Hello everyone, glad to meet you all."

I replied quietly, "Hello," as Aki-san and Aunt Yona also joined us.

As we headed to camp, I realized I hadn't seen Nosaka anywhere. I know he's a great player, but maybe his health is keeping him from playing. I wonder how he's doing.

Oh no, I caught myself thinking about him again. Snap out of it, he doesn't care about you. Lost in my thoughts, I didn't notice Ootani trying to talk to me.

Ootani :"Hey Anna, you there?"

Anna: "Sorry, I got lost in my thoughts,".

Ootani :teased, "Is it about that prince charming? I thought you were done with him."

Anna: I admitted, "Actually, I know he hurt me and doesn't care about me, but I can't seem to get him out of my head."

Ootani: hugged me and said, "I know it's hard since he was your first love, but there are plenty of handsome guys here who could help you forget about him."

Ootani quickly ran off, knowing I might chase her. "Ootaniiiiii, come back here!" I called out as I chased after her.

As I ran after Ootani, I couldn't help but smile at her playful antics. She always knew how to keep me on my toes. Despite her mischievous nature, I couldn't stay mad at her for long. I knew that deep down, she just wanted to have some fun. And as I finally caught up to her, I couldn't help but laugh as she looking up at me with those big, innocent eyes. Ootani may be a handful, but she was my loyal bestie, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

When Aunt Yona called for help making dinner for the team, we happily headed out there. After training, the boys had dinner and some even went back for seconds. They all looked happy and were enjoying playing soccer. It made me realize that maybe this is what soccer is supposed to be like, unlike the witch who taught me before. 

Just thinking about her made my head ache again. I tend to have a lot of conversations with myself daily, but I wonder if anyone else notices.

Then I noticed a new player who is apparently half Russian. There was something about him that seemed suspicious, although I couldn't quite put my finger on it.

The boys eventually went to sleep, with two assigned to each room.

The managers, including myself, were given our own rooms. Some team members also had their own rooms.

After finishing the dishes, we organized a schedule for who would do the dishes for each meal. I took breakfast since I'm a morning person, Aki-san chose dinner, and Ootani took lunch. Then we each went to our rooms.

After such a tiring day, I fell asleep immediately. But in the middle of the night, I had a dream about that seal and all the memories came flooding back. I woke up and took some medicine. I couldn't sleep after that because I was so scared.
