Snape thought about it all night but couldn't figure it out.

He never knows how to treat someone well. Likewise, he doesn't know what he should do when the person he likes starts to dislike him...

With his pride, he should just leave. Snape couldn't imagine how much it would hit him to see John's disgusted eyes or words again.

Slytherin always protects himself. Now that he was aware of the danger, he shouldn't give John another chance to hurt him.

But——

Snape subconsciously put this option at the end.

His wand should actually be John's. If he had taken away his wand, it would still be unsafe for John to use only unskilled wandless magic.

He thought so.

And since he came to this world, John has always been by his side. If he had to leave - where else to go?

Snape turned sideways and stared at John, who was still asleep.

...He knew that what he just said were all excuses.

If he really wanted to leave, anywhere would be the same to him. He doesn't care who owns the wand, after all, he is selfish.

He didn't want to leave John.

After living two lives, this was his only love.

His stubborn and sensitive self-esteem has caused him to lose a lot of things. He didn't want to give up his warmth so easily again.

If John starts to dislike him because of his age...he will work hard to save it.

But if it can't be saved...

"..."

Snape was silent for a moment, making a decision in his mind.

From that day on, the whole family felt that Snape seemed to have changed...

At noon, John looked at the table of dishes in front of him blankly:

a bowl of onion soup that was still steaming, and fried chicken that was neither old nor tender. The steak was placed on a long and narrow fish-shaped plate, and a few slices of lemon were added for garnish. A salad of peas and vegetables was placed beside it.

John raised his face blankly again and saw Snape sitting on the sofa. He folded his arms in front of his chest and was watching TV.

The man seemed to notice his gaze, raised his eyelids and glanced at the table, motioning for him to try it.

John stammered in disbelief: "S-Severus, this... you did this?!"

- The sun rises from the west today? Severus actually cooks all the food he likes? !

He wanted to sound less surprised, but his voice couldn't help but rise.

John's eyes looked to Mrs. Laws aside for confirmation. The latter nodded to him happily.

John didn't know what was wrong with Severus, but the act of cooking with his own hands - it really flattered him.

"Severus, you are so good!" John cheered and started to cut the steak into small pieces with a knife and took a bite.

"...it tastes great." He opened his eyes slightly and looked over in admiration, "Where's your share? Let's eat together."

Mrs. Laws hurried into the kitchen to bring it out.

Snape raised his eyebrows and watched as John tasted everything, his expression full of admiration, completely different from the look he had last night.

His expression softened and he sat down across the dining table.

After a good lunch, John was going to find Somerville to talk about her role in the afternoon.

Now everyone is just waiting for the post-production of the fifth part to be completed and promoted for release. In a few months, the crew will be able to film the sixth installment. Somerville, who plays Lily, will also join the cast when the time comes.

As John prepared to go out, Snape followed him - he wanted to go with him.

Although John was a little surprised why Severus didn't stay at home to study spells today, they were used to going out together, so he didn't care.

——He just felt a little uncomfortable because the actor he wanted to meet was Lily.

But this meeting was beyond his expectations.

The place where John and Somerville agreed to meet was still the coffee shop in front of her school.

Due to identity issues, Snape dispersed again and sat silently next to John.

"Somerville, have you seen the Half-Blood Prince and the Deathly Hallows?"

John asked.

"I read it before when it was published," Somerville replied.

She has become more and more beautiful in the past few years, and she has begun to lose her youthfulness and reveal her mature charm.

——Her smiling eyebrows are curved, looking more and more like Lily.

John smiled and nodded, but his eyes subconsciously looked to the side.

He was unhappy because he knew that Snape must be staring at Somerville.

Even if he knew that Snape was just thinking about him now, he was not happy.

But John was caught off guard and met those dark eyes -

the man's arms were placed on the table, the fingertips of his hands were intertwined and he was looking at him sideways.

The sunlight filtered through the glass window and shone on the right side of Snape's face, softening the outline of his face.

The corners of his lips pursed in a gentle arc, and his dark eyes were staring at John calmly, seriously and cherishingly.

John felt his heart and breathing stop at the same time. It takes a second—or ten thousand years—before their functions are restored.

-Severus is looking at him!

John heard his heart pounding, beating more and more violently, almost to the point of jumping out.

——Severus was not looking at Somerville, it was him!

Again he confirmed this.

"...Mr. Snape?" Somerville interrupted his thoughts doubtfully.

John quickly looked away and smiled reservedly at Somerville: "Oh, sorry, let's continue."

He now clearly knew that the man beside him had been looking at him.

John's face turned slightly red, and his smile became more reserved and airy.

The author has something to say: The unforgettable typical sequelae of first love and breakup. Carefully test, and as soon as there is a clue, I would rather give up than continue, for fear of being hurt like that again.

John>Snape's fear.

John>Snape's pride.
