John subconsciously felt a little guilty and did not dare to look into Snape's eyes.
But he immediately felt that he was just hanging out with friends for a day, and there was nothing to feel guilty about.
John's confidence suddenly returned. He smiled as usual and said, "I had a great time today. I went out with Allen for the day."
- There seemed to be something wrong with that.
John paused, subconsciously feeling strange.
"With Alan—" Snape drawled, staring at him deeply with his dark eyes.
"Yeah, what's wrong?" John could barely keep his smile under Snape's gaze, feeling as if he was being targeted by a poisonous snake.
And his inexplicable feeling of guilt came back.
John quickly said, "Why do we have to stand in the garden? Let's go in together."
Snape folded his arms in front of his chest and said softly: "I think it's better for us to explain it clearly in the garden. In case it's hard to explain in front of Mrs. Laws."
"What?" John felt like he was holding on, "What's there to say?"
Snape's voice began to sound dangerous: "What? Is that easy? Are you not going to explain at all?"
He was still surprised in the afternoon why John didn't come back today and didn't say anything to him. After calling George, I found out that John was not on the set today. In the morning, he complained to George that he couldn't find friends to play with.
Normally, John would have returned to the set if he couldn't find his friends, but he wasn't there.
Snape made several phone calls but no one answered.
He endured his uneasiness and asked George for his number, and began to call everyone John could possibly contact. One or two, everyone said that John once called them to ask if they were free, and then hung up the phone. No one knew John's whereabouts.
He went out and looked around, but found nothing.
During those hours of confusion, Snape couldn't help but wonder if Voldemort had resurrected and captured or directly killed John in some remote place.
Or maybe something happened to John because of the accident. He didn't have a wand. If something happened unexpectedly... wandless magic wouldn't be that easy to use.
Snape controlled himself and calmed down, sitting in the garden and waiting. From that position, he could see it whenever John came back.
He was also persuading himself that it was wrong to be concerned about John's whereabouts all the time. Even if he had never been in love - Narcissa suddenly wasn't at home one day, and Lucius didn't look for her in a panic.
He wanted to be like normal. But whether it was potions or research, he had no intention of doing it. Snape could only give up his idea in frustration and sit motionless in the garden.
Then... we just waited until dark.
After the car stopped outside the yard, the familiar voice finally came from him.
Snape stood up suddenly and anxiously wanted to rush out to check on John, and then he heard -
"I had a great time today. I really hope we can go out together again in the future, John."
"Of course, Ai . Lun. I'm very happy today too. Let's go out together when we have time."
He heard the voice he was most familiar with said cheerfully.
