John walked down the road, holding an umbrella over his and Snape's heads.

To others, John’s posture with half of the umbrella under the umbrella looks weird—but, whatever!

Fortunately, we only walked two streets. Before the toes of John's boots were wet, they arrived at their destination - a diner.

The store here is not big. There was a layer of mist on the glass, and the people inside were sitting under the warm yellow light, talking and laughing. The somewhat faded gilt signboard at the door reads in cursive letters:

"Diligent Soup".

Although this is just a small street store, it is a good store that Mrs. Laws once recommended.

——In London, it costs a lot of money to have a meal at a well-known restaurant. So it is necessary to know some delicious and cheap restaurants.

When Mrs. Laws recommended this restaurant, she highly praised the minced lamb breast and fettuccine.

John closed the umbrella and put it on the umbrella stand next to him when he entered the door. There are already many umbrellas placed on it, but they are arranged neatly according to the room number, so there is no need to worry about losing them.

Out of consideration for Snape, he asked for a room alone. The waiter led John up to the second floor and chose a room with curtains and a small square table.

That's right - John suddenly changed his mind tonight and planned to take Snape to have a good meal.

Snape couldn't eat it before, so he could only watch.

Now that he could eat, he could only watch, which made John feel very uncomfortable.

Especially the mushroom soup tonight made him unhappy.

Entering the bright room, Snape floated up to the ceiling again for fear of losing control of his body.

The waiter was waiting next to John. He looked at the menu and pondered.

...The minced lamb breast and fettuccine recommended by Mrs. Laws are must-orders.

I must order the cream of mushroom soup that Snape didn't get in the evening.

"Any other recommendations?" John asked him.

"The dishes recommended by the chef today are French fries and fried fish cooked in butter, which can also be replaced with scallops. Steak sandwiches are also popular." The waiter answered quickly.

John nodded in agreement and asked for a few items. Then I ordered two more Yorkshire puddings and that was it.

He felt a little guilty.

Although I have been in the UK for a long time, Mrs. Laws cooks at home on weekdays, and she is still relatively unfamiliar with ordering food in restaurants outside.

He didn't know whether he should follow the formal procedures when ordering food.

But when the dishes were all served, and both Snape and the waiter had normal expressions, showing no strange or doubtful expressions, John was relieved.

It seems that he is overthinking.

As soon as the dishes were served, John asked the waiter to go out and closed the door.

It was raining heavily and it was hazy outside the window. John thought for a while, but still didn't close the curtains.

The dotted lights in the rain scene were really beautiful. He wanted Snape to see it too, so that he wouldn't be in a gloomy mood all the time.
