Eyes on You

Is It Really You?

                                       Millions Of Years Later...
     It was almost dawn. There was somebody running down
the street. With a violet hoodie and a yellow bandana, her face
was barely visible. It was Galnara. She was on her way to the
rental she had been staying at. She had been at a party all night.
She was taking a vacation from her duties and visiting earth.
She normally kept track of everything and worked from space.
Anyone who was in the same room as her would agree that she
was the life of the party.

     On a street that connected to the one Galnara was running
on, there was someone else running. He was also on vacation.
His old life was just a mere memory now, but he still longed to
see his old friend again. He went by a new name now:
Xalnurron.

     At the point where the two roads intersected, Xalnurron
and Galnara collided. Both fell to the ground. Neither of them
realized who the other was.

     "Sorry- I didn't see you there- "Xalnurron stammered,
trying to apologize quickly and get back on his feet.

     "I didn't mean to- I'm really sorry about that- "Galnara said
at the same time. She was still on the ground when she saw his
eyes and was barely able to recognize him. His skin was as black
as obsidian, and his eyes were a startling shade of scarlet. She
froze, just staring into his eyes. He recognized her as well.

     "Nara..." he muttered. Back before Xalnurron became the
guardian of nightmares, he and Galnara had nicknames for each
other.

     "Xal? Is it really you?" Galnara said.

     "Yeah. Long time no see." Xalnurron responded, smiling at
her. She smiled back. Xalnurron held out his hand to help her
get back up. She took his hand and pulled herself back to her
feet. She threw her arms around him, happy to see him again.

     "I missed you so much..." She whispered in his ear.
     "I missed you too," Xalnurron replied, glad to see her again
after such a long time away from her.
