30- A Treasure To Remember

Summary: After waking up, you claim your second place prize and your brother his third, next to a chained up, traumatized looking Bakugo. ( S H O R T A S S C H A P T E R )

~Y/n Todoroki~

You woke up to a soft voice.

"Y/n, dear, it's time for the awards ceremony."

Your eyes flitted open to see Recovery Girl hovering beside you as you nodded sheepishly, standing and limping towards where they had set up the pedestals.

"Now let's move on to the awards ceremony!" Midnight announced as the crowd cheered.

You were having trouble getting up to the second place pedestal, so Midnight led you up the steps with a steady arm.

You gave her a thankful smile and she nodded at you, turning to the crowd once more.

Suddenly you heard the clanking of chains and loud grunts and muffled yells from beside you.

You looked to see Bakugo with a thick, metal muzzle and both of his arms chained down. He looked angry, vicious, even.

"In third place, we have Mr. Shoto Todoroki!" Midnight announced.

The crowd cheered. Your father looked displeased.

"In second, we have Ms. Y/n Todoroki!"

The crowd was louder. You looked out to your class, who were all stood in front of you.

You saw Izuku smiling and cheering loudly for you. You couldn't have been happier. And why the hell did he look so cute even when he was bandaged up? That shouldn't be allowed, right?

"In first, Katuski Bakugo! All from Class 1A!" she finished.

"Now, for the medals. Presenting them, we have our very own number one hero-"

"I AM-

"All Might!"

There was an awkward silence.

All Might looked visibly distraught and you had to hold a giggle in.

"Sorry, I talked over you!"

All Might continued on to give Shoto his medal, having a small, private chat with him that you couldn't hear, before moving on to you.

"Congratulations, Ms Todoroki. Your strength held many measures," he said in a proud tone, lifting the shiny medal over your head as it hung loosely over your neck.

"I have become aware of your familial struggles with your brother. However you pushed through and held strong all throughout. You should be proud, young Todoroki!" he smiled brightly at you.

You couldn't help but smile yourself.

"Thank you, All Might."

He gave you a gentle hug and patted your back, moving on to Bakugo.

You looked down at your medal and smiled softly.

This, you were going to remember forever.

It wasn't first, but with the way you were smiling, you would think it was.
