Taehyung frowned but relented, getting out of the car. Without glancing back, he walked inside his house. Jungkook watched him go, a mix of frustration and something deeper flickering in his eyes. He sighed and then drove off.
________

Taehyung went inside his home, feeling an overwhelming sense of exhaustion. Today had been a whirlwind, filled with moments he didn't want to revisit.

He collapsed onto the couch, his body sinking into the cushions as he let out a long, weary sigh. The weight of the day pressed heavily on him, a relentless reminder of everything he wanted to forget.

That name, that fucking name, echoed in his mind, making something twist painfully inside him. It burned him from the inside out, a fire he couldn't extinguish. His thoughts kept drifting back to the moment he heard it, the sharp pain that accompanied it, and the rage that followed.

He wouldn't lie; the act he pulled in the office, smashing everything within reach, had a strangely calming effect. It was a cathartic release, a way to expel the pent-up frustration and anger. The blonde felt lighter, almost relieved.

He wasn't feeling bad at all for doing that. If anything, he felt justified. If there had been more things to break, he would have gladly destroyed them too. The chaos he created was his way of reclaiming control, of pushing back against the memories that haunted him. He stood up and walked to the kitchen, grabbing a glass of water. As he drank, he stared out the window, trying to focus on the calmness of the sky. Despite everything, a small part of him felt a strange sense of satisfaction. He had confronted his demons, at least for today, and for now, that was enough.

As evening settled in, Taehyung decided to take a shower, hoping the warm water would wash away some of the day's tension. The steam enveloped him, soothing his tired muscles and calming his mind. After the shower, he felt a bit more human, but the exhaustion was still there, a heavy blanket draped over him.

Just as he was starting to relax, he heard his doorbell ring. With a sigh, he wrapped himself in a robe and walked to the door. When he opened it, a man stood there, holding out a set of keys.

"Sir, I parked your car," the man said, handing the keys to Taehyung.

Taehyung accepted the keys with a grateful smile. "Thank you," he said, and the man nodded before leaving.

He then closed the door behind him and walked to his bedroom, the soft light casting shadows on the walls. He slipped into his bed, the cool sheets a welcome contrast to the heat of the shower.

Closing his eyes, the blonde allowed himself to drift into sleep.

Jungkook arrived back at his office, noting that everything had been cleared out. The remnants of Taehyung's outburst were gone, leaving the space immaculate. He sat down in his chair, his mind replaying the events of the day.

He absentmindedly touched his bicep where Taehyung's hand had lingered, the memory of the touch evoking strange emotions he couldn't quite place. It was an odd sensation, a mixture of curiosity and something deeper, something he wasn't ready to confront.

Jungkook's gaze drifted towards Taehyung's desk and noticed a bag sitting there. It was slightly open, revealing a glimpse of clothes with bear designs on them. He remembered Taehyung in that, and the sight of those clothes brought a sense of warmth he hadn't anticipated.

Jungkook picked up the telephone and dialled the receptionist's number. "I want my office moved to the 25th floor," he instructed"

The receptionist paused, clearly surprised. "Should I empty the floor then, sir?"
