I'm so scared out here,
Oh, my heart hammers,
Trembling lip stammers,
I'm living in fear.
Lord, would You draw near,
Come be close to me.
When I cannot see,
Would you hold me here?
Lord, I am so blind,
I wish I could see,
Yet always I find:
Alone I cannot.
I, a roving mind,
Walk now out from me.
Grab me, take and bind,
Bind with strongest knot.
When my heart hammers,
When my lip stammers,
Lord, I am afraid,
God, I am so lost.
Bring me now to You,
Where else could I be?
Whatever You do,
Would You please bring me?
You are the Potter,
And I am Your clay.
Out on the water,
Teach me in Your way.
Though I now wrestle,
I am Your vessel.
This is why You paid,
Why You paid the cost.
Would You please protect,
Me in all my fear?
I'm broken down here,
Oh Lord, I need You.
Would You help dissect,
Irrational fear?
I need You to steer,
Pass the wheel to You.
