Billie's POV
I woke up to the soft light filtering through the curtains, a reminder that my time in London was ticking away. Only a day left before I'd be back in LA, diving headfirst into my usual whirlwind of studio sessions, interviews, and photo shoots. But right now, all I could think about was Nayla.
Ever since our conversation about James, I couldn't shake the feeling of jealousy that had crept up on me. It was a strange, almost foreign emotion. I had only known Nayla for a few months, but she had quickly become someone I cherished deeply. I wanted to make the most of the time we had left together in London, even if it meant staying indoors.
I got up and dressed, excitement bubbling inside me. I found Nayla in the kitchen, sipping on her morning coffee.
"Good morning!" I greeted her with a smile.
"Morning, Billie," she replied, looking up with a warm smile. "What's got you in such a good mood?"
"I was thinking," I began, trying to keep my tone casual, "how about we spend the day together? I have a few ideas in mind. Let's make the most of my last day here."
Nayla looked intrigued. "That sounds great. What do you have in mind?"
"Just me and you" I said, winking at her. "All day at home." I chuckled, as if we had another choice. For now.
After breakfast, I led Nayla to the kitchen. "I thought we could start by making something delicious together. How about homemade pizza? We can get creative with the toppings."
"That sounds delicious," Nayla agreed.
We gathered the ingredients and got to work in the kitchen. As we kneaded dough and chopped vegetables, the conversation flowed easily. We shared stories, laughed at our culinary mishaps, and enjoyed each other's company. By the time the pizzas were in the oven, the apartment was filled with the mouth-watering aroma of fresh dough and melted cheese.
While we waited for the pizzas to bake, we moved to the couch for a movie marathon. We took turns picking our favorite films and settled in with popcorn and blankets. As the hours passed, I found myself feeling more and more comfortable around Nayla.
During a lull in the movie, I turned to Nayla. "You know," I said casually, "I've been thinking about our conversation the other day."
"Which one?" Nayla asked, looking curious.
"The one about James," I replied, trying to keep my tone light. "It made me realize something about myself."
"Oh?" Nayla looked at me, her eyes full of curiosity. "What's that?"
I took a deep breath, deciding to go for it. "Well, I've always been attracted to girls," I said, watching her reaction closely. "And lately, I've been feeling... something more."
Nayla looked surprised, but not in a bad way. "Really?" she asked, her voice soft.
"Yeah," I admitted, feeling a bit nervous. "I guess what I'm trying to say is, I've been feeling something more for you."
Nayla's eyes widened, and for a moment, she was silent. I could feel my heart pounding in my chest, wondering what she would say.
Before she could respond, I quickly added, "I don't want to make things awkward. I just wanted to be honest with you."
Nayla smiled, a warm and genuine smile that made my heart flutter. "Thank you for telling me, Billie. It means a lot."
We continued watching the movie, the atmosphere between us more relaxed now. I could sense a shift, a new level of understanding and connection between us.
