Nayla's POV

For the past few weeks, Billie had made it her mission to get me comfortable behind the wheel. Nearly every day, we spent hours driving around Los Angeles. I also dedicated time to learning the theory, ensuring I was ready for the written test as well. Now, it was finally time for my driver's test.

"Are you ready?" Billie asked, her voice filled with both excitement and a hint of nervousness as we pulled up to the DMV.

I took a deep breath and nodded. "Yeah, I think so."

Billie squeezed my hand. "You've got this, Nayla. Just remember everything we've practiced."

I checked in at the DMV, filled out some paperwork, and waited for my name to be called. The atmosphere was a mix of anxiety and anticipation, with other hopeful drivers nervously chatting or scrolling through their phones.

When my name was called, a friendly examiner greeted me and led me to the car. Billie gave me a reassuring smile and a thumbs-up from the waiting area.

The driving test began, and I did my best to stay calm and focused. We navigated through various traffic scenarios, parallel parked, and performed the necessary maneuvers. The examiner's presence was intimidating, but I reminded myself of all the practice I had put in.

After what felt like an eternity, we returned to the DMV. The examiner turned to me with a neutral expression. "You did well, Nayla. You've passed."

A wave of relief washed over me, and I couldn't help but grin. "Thank you!"

I rushed back to Billie, who was waiting with open arms. "How did it go?" she asked, her eyes searching mine.

"I passed!" I exclaimed, hugging her tightly.

"I knew you would!" Billie said, her voice filled with pride. "Let's celebrate tonight!"

Back at home, we decided to make the celebration special. "How about we go to that new club downtown?" Billie suggested, a mischievous glint in her eyes. "I'll invite Zoe, Claudia, and some other friends."

"Sounds perfect," I agreed, feeling the excitement bubble up inside me.

As we started getting ready, Billie turned to me with a warning. "Just so you know, this club is pretty high-profile. There will probably be many paparazzi since celebrities and high-profile people usually go there."

I nodded, understanding the implications. "I'll be ready."

I chose a sleek, black dress that hugged my curves in all the right places. It was simple but elegant, and I paired it with my favorite heels. Billie opted for an oversized, tailored suit that exuded a confident, masculine charm. She looked effortlessly stylish, her hair styled in loose waves. We looked at each other and smiled, knowing tonight was going to be special.

"Wow, you look incredible," Billie said, her eyes raking over me appreciatively.

"You too," I replied, feeling a rush of love and admiration for her.

We finished getting ready, adding the final touches to our makeup and accessories. The anticipation of the night ahead made my heart race.

As we headed to the club, Billie held my hand, giving it a reassuring squeeze. "Let's have a great night."

The club was buzzing with energy when we arrived. Flashing lights and the thumping bass of the music greeted us as we walked in. True to Billie's warning, paparazzi were stationed outside, snapping pictures of us as we entered. Billie kept her arm around me protectively, smiling for the cameras but making sure I was comfortable.
