The pressure was mounting. With my final exams looming, I felt a constant, relentless urgency to study. Graduating with honors was within my reach, and I couldn't let it slip away. Each morning, I woke up, had a quick breakfast, and headed straight to the university library. Leila was my rock during this time, offering to quiz me on key topics and bringing coffee to keep my energy levels up.

"Alright, next question," Leila said, sitting across from me with a stack of flashcards. "What are the key components of effective classroom management?"

"Clear expectations, consistent consequences, positive reinforcement, and creating a supportive learning environment," I answered quickly, my mind racing through the material.

"Correct!" Leila cheered, giving me a thumbs up. "See? You're nailing this."

I smiled, but the stress was ever-present. "I just need to keep this up for a few more days. Then, it's all over."

Leila nodded, her expression serious. "And you will. You're one of the smartest people I know, Nayla. Just don't forget to breathe."

Despite my intense study schedule, I couldn't let Leila spend all her days cooped up in the library with me. She came to visit, after all, and I was determined to show her a good time. We made a pact: I'd focus on my studies during the day, but the evenings and weekends were ours to explore London.

Our first stop was the iconic Tower Bridge. We walked along the Thames, the lights of the city reflecting off the water. Leila insisted on taking dozens of pictures, striking poses and laughing as I did my best to capture her from all the right angles.

"Okay, now get one with me jumping in the air," Leila instructed, handing me her phone.

I rolled my eyes playfully but obliged. "Ready? One, two, three—jump!"

After a few tries, we got the perfect shot, Leila mid-air with the bridge perfectly framed behind her. "You're a natural photographer, Nayla," she said, grinning at the result.

Next, we visited Borough Market, a heaven for food lovers. The variety of aromas was intoxicating, from freshly baked bread to exotic spices. We sampled everything we could—juicy strawberries, spicy chorizo, artisanal cheeses, and more.

"Try this one," Leila said, holding out a piece of Turkish delight. "It's amazing."

I took a bite and nodded enthusiastically. "So good! I need to get some for Billie when she visits."

Leila smirked. "Always thinking about her, huh?"

I blushed. "Of course."

We spent an afternoon at the British Museum, marveling at ancient artifacts and stunning exhibitions. Leila's favorite part was the Egyptian mummies; she dragged me through the entire exhibit, reading every placard and taking notes.

"I can't believe how well-preserved they are," she said, awe in her voice. "It's like stepping back in time."

I nodded, equally fascinated. "It really is. Makes you wonder what people will think of our time in a few thousand years."

In the evenings, we explored London's vibrant nightlife. From trendy bars in Soho to cozy pubs in Covent Garden, we experienced it all. One night, we found ourselves at a jazz club, the smooth melodies creating a perfect backdrop for our conversation.

"This place is incredible," Leila said, her eyes shining. "I feel like we're in a movie."

I laughed. "Yeah, it's pretty magical. I'm glad you're enjoying yourself."

Leila raised her glass. "To the best trip ever. And to you, Nayla, for being the best tour guide."

"Cheers!" I clinked my glass against hers, feeling a warm sense of happiness.
