Haven’t scribbled for awhile because I had myself a quick vacay break. Sounds endearingly amazing right? I booked a flight to California and stayed at my cousin’s house. Not expecting a crowded surroundings, I suddenly felt untimely regretting my decision. Even though how cute those kids are, they’re kids. Annoying. So in my short-period journey of solitude, I listed things: beach, food, and scenery.
My first night wasn’t really the best, but I love my relatives hospitality. Shots of drinks, partying till dawn. The music was a blast and all of them are a living corpse afterwards. Drinking hard liquor isn’t my thing so I ended up laughing my lungs out of their silliness.
The following day, I moved on to my next item, beach. Zuma beach, one of the finest options to visit. I had a great time spotting my own interest in the beach side, swimming, low-key interacting with strangers and got a chance to play together with them, volleyball. I tried surfing but my patience is not buying it, I always find myself drenched in the waters.
Next stop, food hunting. I got myself into the Malibu Country Mart. Eyes wondering around those fancy establishments, wasted a card for a shopping spree, pampered myself with those scrumptious meals, had a free drink given by a personnel, who approached me saying it’s in the house.
Getty Villa, served me with those spectacular views of art, architecture, and landscapes. Truly appreciate the great ambiance, I felt like I’m one of the God’s in the Olympus walking through the corridors. The ancient vibes made myself daydreaming about it. Every detail holds surprises!
Today, on my last day, as I opened my phone, I received a message that we’ll have an urgent virtual meeting regarding our clearance compilation. As much as I want to explore my fourth day, studies are always my number one priority. I booked a room at Oceana Santa Monica, 6.2 km from Getty Villa, since I can’t stay longer in my cousin’s house full of a bunch of noisy people.
I have stayed here since yesterday, and I chose the Penthouse Suite. I’m in love with the night view from my end, serene ocean view of the pacific had me breathless.
Time check, it’s almost afternoon. The meeting is adjourned. Now I’m packing my things up, before the flight leaves me. In a quick span of time, I felt contented. For sure when I get back to my place, a ton of paperworks is left on my table. Maybe I should get a full body massage before I dive into it.
