KNOWN SKILLS & ABILITIES: — Energy Absorption : She can absorb various forms of energy, while removing it from the source, into her body and use it in various ways, gaining some form of advantage. Aurora has only mastered Kinetic Energy Absorption and has shown signs of Ambient Energy Absorption, but hasn't tried harder to work on those abilities. Extent of this ability is unknown. — Energy Redirection : She is able to reflect energy and all energy-based attacks from their bodies and release them in a more desirable direction, often back at the source. — Energy Conversion : The user can absorb and convert one form of energy into another form. KNOWN HISTORY: Seasoned mercanaries, Ayame and Kenji Sāto were paid to find and capture the infamous HYDRA mad scientist, Billiard Barker. Although they weren't the couple's employer, SHIELD had caught word that he was experimenting on children in attempt to create his own super soldier and also had their eyes out for the man. Unfortunately, Barker was one step ahead of them and had taken their six-year-old daughter from her ballet rehearsal as leverage. He begins to experiment on her, though it was a struggle as she never gave up fighting him off. By the time Ayame and Kenji found his lab, Barker had taken their daughter and fled the scene. Not without setting up a trap for a deadly couple that left both of them dead and the evidence he left behind destroyed. It wasn't until a year later that SHIELD had finally caught up with Barker and arrested him. They found the young Sāto–along with the files he had kept on her–and took her in under their care. She was supposedly his only success, the only experiment that involved use of residue from a mysterious artifact that he had acquired in his travels. He mentioned that she might even grow up to be stronger than Captain America, that she might even develop powers. At the age of nine after two years of training with SHIELD to develop and control her powers, the girl was inducted into their Angel's unit. She was the second member to join, after Agent Cassandra Carter, and completed her first undercover mission. At the age of eleven, the girl got caught up in the attack on New York by the Chitauri. She was at ballet rehearsal when the aliens first struck, right at the center of the action. She found herself atop a rooftop where the source of the portal was created. Using her powers, she aided the team by sucking energy out of the Tesseract in an attempt to deactivate it. Although it works for a second–the portal shrink in size–the power quickly overwhelmed the girl. She was quick to detach herself from the Tesseract and dispel the power at a Chitauri enemy before passing out. It is uncertain what consequences would've ensued if she held on, but there is a theory that she would have exploded from the overload. After these events, Tony Stark decided to adopt the girl, not seeing SHIELD as a safe place for her to stay. She moved out of SHIELD's headquarters and into the Avengers facility with access to any of Stark's safe houses. Though, the two don't get always get along, she seems grateful to be able to move out of SHIELD and it's chaos. She continued to actively participate in the Angel Unit's missions for years whilst continuing her homeschooling. Unbeknownst to the girl, Stark demanded that SHIELD assign less missions, training sessions, and responsibilities to her. This is so she could focus more on living out her adolescence. As of 2015, Stark has marked her as temporarily inactive and she now resides with the retired Agent Cassandra Carter. Reason unknown.
