Wellston Private High School:
Outside Dorms-
------------------------------------------------------------------
John was staggering back, badly beaten by Seraphina, to his dorm. The issue of healing was a consistent problem and right now John was in serious condition.
Holding on to the wall as he walked, John let go of his abilities and relaxed. Yet, his rage persisted at the most recently developed events.
'I know she's lying... She had to have had help from the authorities!' John thought.
'There is no way that she could have just recovered without some sort of intervention behind my back!' John continued as he walked onward.
As he was thinking and walking, John heard rapid footsteps behind him...
------------------------------------------------------------------
Seraphina was still held down, writhing in anger that she was unable to break free.
Until suddenly, she dropped.
'His abilities!' Seraphina's eyes widened. 'He dropped them, I still have a chance!'
She took a step, but stumbled due to her ability fatiguing her. Leilah warned her and her time was running short. With that being said however, she still had time!
Gathering herself, Seraphina dashed in the direction she saw John walk off in. Following a faint blood trail along the wall from him, she knew she was getting closer as it began to lower to the ground.
'He must have lost strength around... HERE!' She found him.
------------------------------------------------------------------
John, who was now hunched quite a bit more from pain and losing strength, sporting a large mark on his face from where he was struck earlier, turned his head slightly to the sound.
Eyes wide, there was nothing he could do as he saw a metaphorical death sentence behind him.
Although weakened from the prolonged fight and ability use herself, Seraphina was much more capable right now than John could hope to be.
'I got him,' she rejoiced.
"John..." She began aloud. "Where were we?"
"Seraphina..." He responded. "Stay back!"
"NO!" She lunged.
John pointlessly tried to dodge, but was in no shape to actually make an escape. Seraphina did deactivate her ability without him noticing because there was no need for it any more. Even if John was more capable with his hands, he was in no shape to prove it.
She tackled him, working her way to a pin to prevent him from missing her words. But, John was still not willing to go down.
A surge of new adrenaline filled John, he was staring up at Seraphina who was struggling with him. He threw up a working arm to block her from using her weight against him.
He tried to twist and turn but was losing bad.
"GET OFF!" He yelled. But she did not listen.
"John!" She began. "Why do you bother fighting?! Why can't you just accept that things are changing and not the same as before!"
"You made your point!" She continued. "Now move on with US!"
Seraphina had pinned John.
No way out.
