3rd POV
Asura tapped his foot impatiently, pacing around Maka's new and unusually bland room, peeked out the window, and continued pacing. He started to sit, weighing down her cheap mattress, the couple bags holding what meager belongings slid towards the divit where he sat, hitting his hip lightly. He stood, prepared to annoying tap back and forth.
A loud audile sigh paused his jittery action as Maka leened against the doorframe of her bathroom.
For a moment, Asura forgot he was good, he forgot that he didn't come back as a kishin, and in that moment,
All he wanted was her soul
To bathe in her bittersweet madness
Crush her frail body beneath his power
But as quick as a dying breath, the moment was gone and with a blink and a shake of his head, he picked up their shared backpack and slung it over his shoulder, a tight hand gripping it.
"Hey, is there something wrong?" Maka looked up at his face, considerably paler than before.
He gulped "No" he set his arm around her and shakily smiled. "We have some spare time before the train leaves, we could go eat if you're hungry"
She smiled, "Well I could eat buuut...." Asura sighed and set the bag on the counter next to the sink, knowing Maka was about to launch into something. She dug in her black short pockets and pulled a heavily worn and creased flyer, waving it out before throwing it in front of his face.
"Look! Open market is all this week! And today's is the last day, so everything will be on sale and we could get new clothes and some books and...." She grinned and continued to gush about how much she would love a new book.
Asura crinkled the brightly colored paper in his hands and looked at her intently "Where did you get this?" His voice was slow and fierce, Maka could tell he was hiding untold anger.
"Some kids, I think they were the shopkeepers kids, were going door to door and they....."
Asura grabbed her shoulders and stared her down, "YOU LET THEM SEE YOU?!?"
"Wh-what?" She cringed, his nails dug into her shoulders, leaving welts and stretching the fabric of her plain white tank top.
"Ow ow OW! LET ME GO!" She tore herself from Asura, his hands having left marks and bruises, striken shock and anger shone through her usually dulled and diluted eyes.
"Don't touch me" She spoke deadly quiet, staring down the shocked and saddened Asura, backing up and snatching the bag.
She was outside before he could yell after her, sunlight streaming through the open door.

He shook with untempered anger, wrenching a chair from the table and throwing it across the room shattering the mirror.
He screamed, so frustrated and blood driven.
He paced his way to the mirror, he can't go out to search for her in broad daylight, too many enemies, too many witnesses.

He sighed, setting his palm against the glass, hating his disgusting reflection, he should have been better, he promised himself he would never hurt her again.

Suddenly a thought struck him, two thoughts actually.
1. He hadn't separated the Tie with Maka yet

2. With the way he overacted,
He must be getting closer. His emotions were going crazy for a reason.
And with Maka out of his sight,
Oh god,
Asura's hands shook in fear,

He has her now.
