Epilogue:From Predator to Protector

The following day after Crisis and her giant friends feasted on the nekos. The giant girls finally began to wake up. Since they ate well, they slept for about ten hours. Since Crisis rested her giant hands on Michael, he was stuck with her that whole time.

Crisis yawned loudly. "Good morning, everyone. I hope you all slept well."

"Oh wow! I haven't had a meal like that for years! Thank you for inviting me!" Tanny said.

"I agree. Ever since traveling to Felarya was deemed illegal, we haven't had a meal like that in a long time. It's been so long! Thank you!" Jora said.

"It was my pleasure! I am glad you came! Now, I can make a second safe harbor to protect innocent humans." Crisis said.

"Yes, if it's alright with you, I would like to protect the second safe harbor with you. I always help most humans I come across, and I would love to protect them alongside you." Fiona said.

"Yes! I would love to have a partner. Thank you, Fiona!" However, Jora had a sad face.

"Crisis, I think there is something you aren't realizing. Come meet me at Jade's safe harbor when you have the chance." Crisis nodded, and Jora and Tanny left.

"What was that all about?" Crisis asked. "I don't know, but you should definitely find out. Let's head to Jade's safe harbor. Fiona, can you fix the tribe so its new inhabitants can be comfortable? You girls made a big mess hunting those nekos." Fiona nodded at Michael's request. Then Michael and Crisis headed to the safe harbor.

Crisis and Michael made it to the safe harbor, and Jora and Jade were waiting for them. "Hello Crisis, Jora told me what happened. I can't say that went the way I would have liked, but at least we have the land to make a second safe harbor. Are you going to be the guardian of the safe harbor?"

Crisis nodded her head excitedly. "Yes, I will rescue humans, and I will protect them in the second safe harbor."

"Crisis, protecting a safe harbor is a big responsibility. You will have to live in the safe harbor and remain close to it at all times. Unless you have a friend to take your place. What I am trying to say is that in order for you to do this, you have to leave the great tree. Are you prepared to do this?" Jade asked her, and Crisis was silent.

"I figured you didn't think this through. It's okay. If you don't want to do this, I'll figure out something." However, Crisis shook her head.

"No, I ate thousands of innocent humans. I need to atone for that. I will do it. Let me say goodbye to my home. When I am ready, I will start taking volunteers to the second safe harbor to make more room for your safe harbor." Jade and Jora looked at Crisis with respect.

"Alright, I respect your decision. When you are ready, come see me, and we will begin moving humans to your safe harbor." Crisis nodded. She took Lea and Michael and slithered to the great tree to say goodbye to her home for years.

As they arrived in the great tree. Crisis sighed as she reminisced of the many years she treated the great tree as her home.

"It's quite the view from up here." Michael said, and Crisis nodded. "Are you sure you want to leave it behind?" Michael asked her.

"It's funny, I made this tree my home because of the height. I always dreamed about flying like fairies. I would always hang from the highest branch and leap from branch to branch. I was really careless!" Crisis giggled. "I have a lot of memories in this tree ,but I need to move on. There are innocent humans that need my help, and I can't help them from here. It's the only way I can atone for all the humans I have eaten."

Crisis noticed Lea reminiscing and went to talk to her. "Hi Lea, how are you feeling about all of this?"

"I lived here for over twelve years, so it will be hard to leave. I am also afraid of interacting with other strangers. While you and your friends were feasting on nekos, I spent the whole time with Jade. She was really nice, but I was afraid to interact with the other humans. Humans hurt me my whole life. I am afraid of change." Crisis hugged Lea.
