Jayson's POV
"So you're married now?" Al asked me
"Yes" I chuckled as I got ready for tonight's the game
I finally told the team and everybody is dumbfounded; they think I'm joking
"I don't believe you; I'm asking Jalen" Al said as he walked over to Jaylen
I just shook my head and sat down to tie my shoes
"Yeah, they got married like two months ago" Jaylen confirmed
"Damn; no invite?" Luke joked
"We just went to the court house. We'll probably have an actual wedding sometime next year" I nodded
"I hope you left you ring in your bag; the last thing you want is for it to fly off mid game" Sam said
"It's on a necklace-"
"It could still fly off" Sam added
"A necklace around my wife's neck..unless she's subbing in as a Tatum she won't be on the court" I chuckled as I finished my sentence
"It don't feel strange taking the ring off before games? I've been married for a while and it still feels weird taking my ring off" Derrick said as he tied his shoes
"Nah, the ring is material..I got her on me permanently so she's always there" I said as I showed him the side of my ring finger
The letters CTT and a key was tatted on the side
"Broooo" JD said as he looked at my hand
"She's got JCT and a heart shaped locket on her ring finger" I nodded as I fixed my hair
"Oh you on her bad" Jaden laughed
"For sure" I nodded and chuckled
No matter what happens on the court, I'm still a winner when I'm off of it
"It's go time" Joe said as he walked in
We all nodded and got in our positions to walk out
The first thing I saw when I ran out was Deuce feeding Cleo popcorn piece by piece
He ate one himself then gave the next one to her
I shook my head and laughed
We did our warmups before the game officially started then Joe picked the starting 5 for tonight's game
I wasn't starting which was fine by me since it gave me more time to stare at my wife
Cleo seemed to be deep in her phone and she had this look of shock on her face
"You alright?" I asked as I leaned back
"Perfect; I'll tell you later" she smiled as she did a little happy dance
I just nodded
"Mom I'm thirsty" Deuce said
"Where's your water bottle?" She asked
"I um.. forgot it in the car" he said lowly
I just shook my head
I asked him before we got out the car if he had everything and he said he did
"That's okay Bubba, let's go get you something to drink" Cleo said as she stuck her hand out and stood up
